David Coverdale is blues rock royalty. I wish he would be knighted. He deserves it. And let’s not forget to mention Tommy Aldridge. The man is in his 70s and hits the drums harder than guys half his age. He’s one of those rock warriors that have been there, done that, and lived to tell the story.

I LOVE THIS!! I just found this video and hearing this song performed is just EPIC!! I wish they were able to do their farewell tour when they were done in the U.K. leg of it but it wasn't to be. I saw them once long ago and at least I can say I did. David is just sexy, I could listen to him just talk! I bet he is enjoying his time now with family, who knows, maybe just maybe he may want to go back on tour, wishful thinking!

Awesome song, Awesome performance, Davids voice is still so good! the band he's had is top notch. That's why Whitesnake is still happening, Doug and Reb have now been playing together since 2001, and that's why there so tight. Their last 2 CD's-Good to be Bad-and Forevermore are instant classics. Saw them last in 2010 at the M3 Festival, long way for me to go, but well worth it! Cheers

It's amazing that this version LIVE is better in depth , musicality and sound. The engineering on this is FLAWLESS !! I know everyone can poo poo this because Vai isn't playing, however, this is the BEST version of this live on the internet.... Beach and Aldrich kill this. And Coverdales voice is clearer and just sounds better than the OG Live 1989 version. Yes recording quality doesn't compare, it's just far more than that.

Can anyone explain me David Coverdale's vocal technique (besides just breath support that of course all good singers must have)? The man is a natural baritone, but he sings high notes above Bb4 quite regularly.

I call it "power falsetto". I'm much more amazed with his vocal grind than his high notes, but he never puts the grind into the high notes, that is really difficult. The most amazing guy at that is Tony Harnell.
