Edges rule! around my neck of the woods. Ag to switch,fencerows in the middle of nowhere'sville to ag. Swamp to ag. Basically anywhere people dont go often is at least pretty good. Ive takin my biggest bucks in the dumbest places i think because no one has burned out the middle of wide open ground with an old fencerow or ditch crossing it. I know some spots where you can sit all day and not barley see anything....but when you do it was well worth the wait. I only hunt those odd spots after a little pressure from firearms season has pushed them into hiding. I cant wait for my new switch to fill in! My 2 and 3 year old switch is pushing 3ft already. Gotta go..wife is hollering LOL

Can you tell me when the best time to cut my clover should be? And whether I should do it a couple of times each year? I have been told to wait until it seeds out so when I mow it it can spread the seeds around in order to seed without having to do it by hand. Does that keep the deer from benefiting from the plot?

I know it wasn't mentioned in this video. But on videos pass you have made a comment about that you should know about 90% of the bucks on your property. When does that no longer become feasible. I hunt 5 acres and I hold about 4 bucks on my property but during hunting season I have around 25 bucks come throughout the year from October to November. What is a realistic number that I should expect the hold with just five acres

Could you do a video on no-spray techniques? Our land lays in a manner where all runoff, including snow and rain, drain into and near our fishing pond. I really don't want the chemicals (however small amount may actually get there) running into our pond. In NE TN.

Been a subscriber for a long time and this is my first year I have had the money, time, and resources to put in foodplots but I have a question or two! I'm from middle TN and I'm starting a new foodplot that used to be a pasture about an acre in size. Very thick grass and some thorny bushes, blackberry bushes, woody bushes and grasses. I sprayed it the first time the first week in May, came back and sprayed a second time about a week ago. Everything is dead- the herbicide did its job! I was worried about the amount of thatch still on the plot so I went in and mowed all the dead material with my zero turn. A lot of the area is thick with dead grass still. I plan to plant buckwheat the first week of July and am worried that the buckwheat will not reach the dirt because of all that thatch. Am I overthinking it? Will most of that grass material breakdown in 4 weeks? Also, should I roll the buckwheat seed in when I spread it out? Second question, should I go ahead and put out PlotStart with the sprayer when I throw the buckwheat out or should I wait until I am spraying the buckwheat and crushing it after seeding my plots? Keep up the great videos! Really really love the information you put out!
