I wonder if Bill even thought to ask his "podcast guy" if he could do a show without ads or even for free. If you don't want to do it without being paid then why not just not do it? This is Whitney's best podcast appearance ever. And yes, she was crazy (more than kind of), until about 5 minutes ago. Motherhood and some other things have really straightened her out.
@TheMeditorEditor10 ай бұрын
I don't know. Whitney is an interesting specimen in that she appears very differently depending on the medium she's in. Between her stand up, acting roles, writing, and long form podcasts, she's like 4 different people. With podcasting specifically, she's consistently very mellow (in articulation and reasoning, not in volume), level headed, and all around the very opposite of her stand up persona. Her stand up sounds like any other female comedian SJW performance, and yet in podcasts she speaks like, to put it in political terms, a centrist or sometimes center-right. And it can't necessarily be an act if she keeps doing it repeatedly for hours on end. Very fascinating woman.
@Fantasyremix10 ай бұрын
@@TheMeditorEditor she also varies from podcast to podcast. She was particularly crazy during the pandemic in general, but she is also more mellow and focused with males she respects or is attracted to, whereas she’s off-the-wall and interrupts nonstop with women and men who don’t command her respect as much.
@TheMeditorEditor10 ай бұрын
@@Fantasyremix Another comment mentioned how emotionally intelligent she is. I never really understood that concept until watching her on all these places. I think you're correct -- she seems to either match the other's energy and demeanor, or mold herself - consciously or otherwise - to be the person that can best interact with the person she's speaking with. With Bill, it's clear he enjoys when people agree with him or think he's right, or when they speak in a non-combative manor or non-evasive manner (i.e. don't speak in political talk). Whitney was very inquisitive but also gave insight that lead to topics about the past, specifically Bill's time, or current events in society which is where he, as an observational / political comic, thrives. I think, despite all her faults, might be a genuine empath.
@Fantasyremix10 ай бұрын

Goddamn, she is so right, "Gaslit", "Toxic", and "Narcissist" are such bullshit words that people use (not just women) to rationalise how badly THEY behaved in a relationship. Being an entitled prick so somebody doesn't want to be around you, doesn't constitute 'gaslighting' or them being a 'narcissist', they don't owe you something just for existing. People deliberately misuse these words rather than face the fact that they're a shitty person who really needs to work on themselves.

Whitney Cummings is fantastic, but so much intense energy! So accomplished, so capable, so intelligent, young and accomplished, above all ...funny. Does she really not want to commit to someone or is she just too much of a perfectionist, she wants too much?
@gforce959610 ай бұрын
A simple answer would be her hyperactivity, and figuring out what makes her relatively hyperactive. I would recommend that she try a "thinking and talking slowly" approach, and consciously changing her breathing so she isn't chasing the end of every sentence with one breath. All this is a product of not consciously regulating your speed/frantic thinking, in my opinion

Yeah, she was a bit of a fangirl right off the bat. I like Maher, but "tough"?🙃 He squeaks when he talks like he hasn't gone through puberty, and he looks like a kid with an old man's head sitting in that overstuffed chair. I mean really, I expect Santa to walk in any moment and put Maher on his knee! Yeah he's a real BAD ASS!

They are very good together, the conversation seemed to flow naturally. I think they both wanted the other person to like them. I could see them hanging out together on a regular basis, neither one looking for something "More".
