In 1989 I was in Provincetown for the first time as gay 19 year old guy. It was the first week of May and the summer crowd wasn’t there yet. I was a big John Waters fan, but I had no idea he had a home in Provincetown. Me and a friend had gotten up early, ate, then decided to walk around town about 8:30 am. There weren’t a lot of people out, and on a man riding a bicycle got closer and closer to us, when I realized he looked like John Waters. He had on a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses, but he definitely looked like John. My friend had her Siberian Husky and the man stopped and said “what a stunning dog!”. I asked him in an unsure way if he was John Waters, and he laughed and said “Well, I guess the hat and sunglasses make a shitty disguise!”. We talked for about 5 minutes about Provincetown, he was telling us what was worth seeing and doing, what were great places to eat and so on. He was just so NORMAL and easy to talk to, he was asking me and friend questions about ourselves, not the other way around. I know he likes to call himself the King Of Filth, but he’s actually a true gentleman, the kind you don’t see too many of in today’s world. He told us that he had a house in town for a long time (obviously we didn’t ask where it was!) and that he loved being there, even in the winter. I’ve been back to Provincetown 24 times but I never saw him again. Lots of people who live there have stories about running into him, and they’re always nice or funny stories.

Back when I was seven years Old 1978 we got cable for the first time and the Playboy channel was channel 16 and I had cable in my room and my dad and mom were not aware of the channel, it was almost 3 years before it was discovered by others and removed; a very sad day indeed but I was very grateful for the Headstart I received from the Playboy channel loved it! I can still remember hearing from the other room what the hell is this from my mom and my dad going oh my God and that was that for the Playboy channel, and of course Cinemax as well.😩😭

It seems to me that Bill Maher can't conduct an interview unless he's stoned on grass & enamored on alcohol. And that fact that he can conduct an interview while still remaining coherent, tells me that he's like that all the time. Which might also explain why he has Trump derangement syndrome because when Trump built that wall, all of Bill's other drugs, quadrupled in price.

37:57 John Ford is a phenomenal director with at least a dozen great films: The Grapes of Wrath, The Searchers, My Darling Clementine, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Stagecoach, How Green Was My Valley, The Quiet Man, The Informer, Young Mr. Lincoln, They Were Expendable, Fort Apache, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.. most directors would've killed to have made even a few of these. He was arguably the directors other directors of his time respected most. He's arguably the quintessential American director.
