Whitney Houston was more than a habit & it's truly exhausting; to see so much focus on that portion of her journey. Some responses are Killin me folks. A lot of people get handed a deck of cards to deal & play this game call Life. Who would've known that chemicals had to be such a vital role in a talented beautifully spirited woman? It doesn't remove the facts of how blessed & magnificent she was. Hats off to you Whitney (The Voice) Houston. We are grateful to have received you for a while to touch our hearts, souls, & ears with love. U & Bobbi Kristina Rest Well our Queens. We love you Eternally

@Shernan exactly and so many documentaries which came out on her also just talking about her drug addiction but what they fail to understand is what drove her to use it to cope with her abuse she suffered at the hands and emotionally by Mr Brown , tabloids an the media often * Her struggle balancing her private life and public one * Backlash she received from the black community And wanting to be accepted by them being too pop music wise And anxieties too etc all led to that an so that should have been more focused on

When you look at the scale and intensity of the tours Whitney did back in the day, along side the movie work, philanthropic work and day to day life admin she had to take care of, plus the constant press intrusion everywhere she went, it's actually no surprise she ended up needing stimulants to cope with it all. So many in her position do too, drugs and showbusiness are almost a cliche. I would have wished better for her but, either way, she changed the landscape of popular music forever, despite leaving us too soon and under sad circumstances. Definitely a legend who's star burned short but so very bright. R.I.P beautiful lady.

I agree. People have no idea how hard it is to sing like that, at the top of human capacity night after night . That's why there is such a thing as an understudy. I've been part of a few broadway productions, it takes a lot out of you to do that night after night. Its a rigorous and grueling undertaking. .no wonder she was tired. She just wanted it to stop. Like she told oprah she wanted out.

I used to laugh when media would show her & Bobby appearing to be Lit; as an adult it sad that I fell into the trap of making fun of her. She was a victim of trying to make people happy. I’ll never forget the scene in her 2018 documentary where she delivered an incredible version of I Will Always Love You in concert and then as soon as she got backstage broke down crying. When she sang her heart out to connect with a song and move and audience that was REAL emotion she was feeling and living in the moment. After years of literally giving herself to the world that had to become extremely draining and unhealthy for her emotionally, physically and mentally I don’t judge her for her substance abuse, especially given the extremely toxic world of show business she reached the pinnacle of

Lately I've been wishing I could have seen KeKe Palmer in this role but maybe that's not a good idea because we know her so well as herself already it might have been hard to see her as Whitney. I didn't think this girl's looks would be a problem for me but I did find myself somehow being distracted by them and wishing they had chosen someone who would have at least put you in the mind of Whitney. I kept being distracted by how much she looks like Brandy and then I started wondering why they didn't just cast Brandy, maybe she would have at least had the speaking pattern or mannerisms down because this girl doesn't even try or maybe she doesn't execute it well.

She was blessed with something that I’ll never forget or see again in my lifetime…she was a flawed human just like me and everyone else, and the world never stopped demanding everything she had to give.. and now years later we have seen and heard about the stories of how they are made to work endlessly, even when not working they are still ON all the time day after day unable to even leave their homes.. she had her struggles and unfortunately lost to them in the end and it still hurts to this day to think that if we hadn’t placed the pressure to be superhuman on her that she might possibly still be here for us to enjoy her on her schedule not ours.. I don’t support the movie because it’s someone else trying to interpret her life, and only she knows what really happened and went on behind closed doors.. I will keep her spirit alive through listening to her beautiful voice, not by watching holograms, or people pretending to be her…I just hope that she finally found the peace she so desperately needed while here on earth..forever grateful for her and what she gave us ❤️

Nobody can really understand what it may be to be a mega star. Having the entire machinery that shaped you for success from early age constantly behind you, pressing the gas full throttle so the wheel keeps spinning till your last drop, having so many families depending on you coming out stage and being flawless 24/7. The huge pressure, the expectations, the insecurities, specially in those years where mental health and drug awareness was non-existent and the music industry was an ever-hungry almighty monster. Nobody, or very little people on Earth has experienced such thing. Whitney was no any different than any of us, should we had been dealt those cards, including her struggles and circumstances before the fame. I wish more people realized how amazing and fascinatingly human Whitney was. Missing her daily x.

My ex-partner had never seen a real superstar and naturally talented artist live before. (apart from those 'popstar' individuals that they seem to 'churn-out' daily, like whipped ice cream cones!). So I jumped at the chance and took my ex to 'witness greatness' on her last tour before her death. It was so disappointing that my ex paid witness not to her historical art, that being her unique voice, but the shadow of what her voice once was, and with people leaving the venue in the middle of the concert. Unfortunately, she returned to soon, and maybe Clive should have been more hesitant and kept her in the studio longer and out of the world arena live stages. R.I.P Whitney.

Why they using early-90s concert wigs to depict a late-90s concert issue. Almost everything wig-wise they got right in this movie except this portion. Yes this curly wig shouldn't have been worn during the my love is your love tour in 99. But there were certain scenes that were placed In the wrong spot And added scenes that were not accurate. It's amazing how everyone in this movie was cast correctly with the exception of Whitney Houston this woman Naomi a beautiful woman but horrible to depict Whitney Houston. It wasn't just Whitney's unique voice that shocked the world when she came on the scene it was Whitney's UNIQUE BEAUTY and thin Runway Model Body So the world never expected such a voice to come out of a body like that white or black but this woman has a very athletic muscular thick body she should have played the biography of the Olympic runner Joy Florence who died from a sudden heart attack because she looks like her and has the same built. I knew this movie was gonna be a flop I said it because of the visual this woman body is so distracting that it takes away the ability that her acting cannot overcome and I don't see how Clyde Davis or anyone can sign on to this! Wendy shows herself as the weakest character in this scenario, she comes across as desperate and jealous, with zero respect for herself or Whitney. Hopefully she has found clarity. There isn't one human on this planet that isn't addicted to something or someone: Yes sugar is also an addiction, even gossiping. this movie looks poorly put together honestly. it looks like they didn’t have much budget considering the wardrobe and even the crowds and the stages. I don’t know it just seems unfinished, like something is off.

I think the scene boiled down to timing and it creates the allusion of most of her tours which is why it jumps.

Not everyone seems to understand the amount of concerts back to back…. She did just as much concerts as Michael Jackson…. She was on demand due to that voice of hers. Since the moment she was discovered she was toured to death…. Her 2nd debut album consist of 150 concerts not including private events in 1 and a half years … she was overworked her whole life

I've only seen a few clips of this train wreck thing and saw several things that are wrong and spiced up. They also chose an actrice that doesn't look anything like with and did a louse job trying to mimic her facial expressions and moves.

Was accuracy not a factor in this movie? I guess not. Is poor woman they got to play this role she was doing from the start. This movie is such a tragic mess. Why can't they just leave her alone. If they want to keep her legacy alive then release her concerts on DVD,That's what the fans want.

Never could understand why they booked Whitney for so many shows, when she was clearly struggling, especially the 1999 tour. Would have been better off retiring in 2000 …… not signing another major contract.

Doing drugs since the early 80s and having unlimited power and access to drugs . There's only one way to go . My wish would have been to expose her right after Bobbi was born . But the success of the bodyguard gave her cover and the habit spiraled out of control unfortunately . Robert Downey Jr had the same problem but the court case he caught in the early 2000s with him wandering into a child's bedroom cooked up left him no choice than to clean up. Look at him now bigger than ever

You're right. Whitney needed something much earlier to give her the push she needed to get things together. Apparently there were rumors of bobbi Kristina being born with cocaine in her system but it was never reported to the media/ tabloids and if so Whitney and her record label had the power and connections to shut it down. While doing the bodyguard was great for her career, legacy, and finances, if was a terrible move for her personally. Had she not went on tour with it and had time off to take care of her new baby things mightve turned out differently for her. Plus all the touring for the bodyguard wrecked her voice. Listen to her in 1994 and then again In 1995. There's a huge difference in both her singing and speaking voice. Plus she allegedly suffered her first overdose in 1995. She never was the same after that.
