In the beginning her voice was perfection from 1985 to 1992 and then from 1992 to 1999 (my favorite era) her voice was seasoned and full of so much depth and soul. Starting with 2001 is when I noticed a huge change and even though those last 10 years of her life were hard to watch I still believe as you do that at her worst she was still amazing !!

I loooooove Whitney too... such a natural talent! I wish she had been better surrounded and guided... I think when you are a huge natural talent you might not be told you should train and maintain those precious muscles... those vocal cords were running a marathon per song... By the mid 90's after a few live songs her vocal cords would tire and you could hear it... I think it was part of her demise. Perhaps what led her to spiral down but, we sadly will never really know. I am so sad that the world lost this shining light of a voice. A gift from the heavens!

I love your channel and reviews! Yes Whitney Houston was a gift from the Lord for only a short time but what a mark on singing and music she made in the short time we were blessed with her. It's almost like, to me, the music died when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Music just isn't the same since her passing. That's so true. I believe they are all equally amazing, vocally, and so it's all about preference. I prefer Mariah because of her her range and that unique tone that she has that nobody can imitate. However there are some factors like belting and resonance that I prefer in Whitney and Celine Dion

Kathy Sydney they all have extremely powerful voices, but have totally different tones, that's where people judge their voices....mariah has a soft but strong voice, and of course Whitney has the powerful voice, and Celine has a mix of it both I can vibe more with her music then the other two even tho their songs are really good. I think her childhood injury when the hanger got pulled out of her throat and a severed palette.. I think her vocals gave out after the 2010 tour .. Favizzy On the difficulty of the songs Mariah's ones are undoubtely harder, and I agree that Mariah can't sing like Whitney, as Whitney couldn't sing like Mariah, that's why they're on the same level. To see which one's songs are harder you have to just look at which is harder in their own genre. Each one in their own genre are incredibly hard but Mariah's are vocally more demanding, I mean Mariah's songs are harder in their genre than Whitney's in theirs, which were insane too.

Love me some Whitney but the greatest is Mariah Carey. Lets be honest Whitney only shines at the middle range, and you know that Barbra and Mariah in that range shines even more. Mariah's versatility is incomparable. So many genres. Mariah's agility and resonance never get lost in all of her 5 octave range. And I'm even talking a little about the whistle register. Carlos Guajardo Please stop it. Whitney on her worst day could and did out shine Mariah. Whitney not only could put a studio album to shame but when she picked up that mic and sang live she was on a whole other planet. Whitney had that power, diction, tone, versatility, vibration, head voice like nobody's business and that unreal chest voice. Yes Mariah had range but she lacked stage presence especially when she tried to be more "urban". Her videos and concerts were about her hair and her shoes and less about her voice. Whitney would miss rehearsals, show up late, and just be a diva...but when that mic turned on and the lights and camera were on her she truly showed all why she was "The Voice". Don't believe me? Go back to early early Mariah and compare early early Whitney. Then you'll see why there was no comparing them. Nippy would grab that mic and just sang---not sing---but sang. Mariah was too timid and would crack under the lights and cameras. To this day Whitney is the gold standard that every female artist tries to emulate and immitate. Listen to a 16yr old Whitney and you will def know why she will forever be the voice and can't ever be denied of the status best female singer of all time.
