The absolute brilliance of Whitney Houston. Her voice is like liquid gold. Her beautiful presence with her voice and an orchestra and I love how she directs the Orchestra while she's singing. Wikipedia says she sang it when she was 19 but Whitney sang it live and she said she recorded it when she was just 16 years old.

My understanding is that Bebe Winans wrote the lyrics to the song. Whitney sung this song at a HIV/AIDS benefit for persons who had lost their lives. The song is also appropriate to the world in our lost /grief of our beloved Whitney. Whitney was a gift from God to all of us as he wanted us to know the peace and joy of His love for us through music. I often think of why Whitney seemed to suffer so in life - much like Job. I don't believe that she was resisting God's love for her. She was fighting off the devil's attempt to take her from God. She never gave up. She fought through it all and she will be rewarded. We miss/love you Whitney and we look forward to hearing you sing in the heavenly choir.
