I'm so glad to be old enough to remember when she sang like this. It was great to witness this woman emerge onto the music scene, and see no one else with this talent/beauty combo. Other singers of her time sang nearly as well, but didn't have the beauty and grace. You can have a great voice and not have the "IT" factor. She had both.

I’ll be 50 in May & anytime I think I’m getting old all I have to do is watch something like this to be able to grow up w/her music in real time. I was lucky enuf to see her 12x in concert. I moved to NYC in 1995 after college and I lived that ‘club life’ hardcore for 5 years and Whitney’s music & the remixes ruled over every dance floor in the 5 boroughs. A DJ would be playing INRBIO at 3:45 am then turn the music off and every queen would be sweating in the dance floor screaming the chorus before the DJ turned the record back on. Best part? You were in that moment and one with the crowd and the music. You were present. You were living it. Not a phone to be seen. I’d never give that up.

@@chasenip2 YESSS! I was there. I definitely remember those days in NY. Esquelita, The Warehouse, Roxy. those were the days. I'm 51 and followed her from the beginning. It was a joy to see her sing live after waiting days for it. And her concerts were fire. I've been to every tour, except "The Greatest Love Tour".

Yeah, she did perform IWDWS on here, and there used to be a vid of it on here. What people dont see is that, if you see the opening of the IWDWS music video, where its in black and white and the crowd is cheering, its really the end of this performance. Its funny how they included it into the video, and shows that when she did IWDWS in this show, it was one of the first times it was done live.

Okay, let's be honest, Beyonce and some singers of today are AMAZING singers. Obviously, they are not at Whitney's level -- in fact, the only person who I would ever put in the same league as Whitney is Mariah, and they are so different in styles that it's not a fair comparison. But there is no denying that a performance like this is just a masterclass. That voice will never be touched. A performance like that would make just about any singer look like an amateur. @Aldenif Well, I'd have to hear you sing to know if you're singing in falsetto. If so, that wouldn't necessarily make you a tenor. It too much to explain on here. But as far as differences, Second tenor is lower than first tenor, closer to baritone. First is a basic tenor, like Usher and Ne-Yo. Countertenor is what Michael Jackson would be considered, or that guy from After 7. Jesse Powell is the best example.
