According to LA Reid's book, LA claims that Whitney sang this song in one take in the studio because she wanted to go the mall before it closed. LA said he and Babyface wrote this song to be as difficult to sing as possible (pitch changes, tempo, etc), and Whitney sang this in one take. I guess she really wanted to get to the mall! She came back later to do the background vocals and ad libs too...No one could touch Whitney in her prime. NO ONE...RIP, Nippy.

My favourite Whitney Houston song. This song is a gem that has stood the test of time. This song was produced & written in such an intricate way by L.A. Reid, Babyface & Whitney Houston. All the female artists of the 90's especially Destiny's Child have to pay homage to this song. What Whitney did at the end of this song with the fast singing is what Destiny's Child ran with & what helped to make Beyonce the artist she is. Whitney was a true trendsetter leading the way as a masterclass in vocalism. For her time, there were not many that could out-sing her. Chaka Khan who was a powerhouse of a singer let Whitney cover her 1980's hit song "I'm Every Woman" & let Whitney take that song to another level. I would say this is the point where Whitney began her conquest of the world music wise become a historic vocal icon. This song is a bonafide timeless classic & one of the greatest Whitney Houston songs ever. It is painful that she is no longer with us, but her voice & music will continue to live on eternally. Rest in peace queen

Lol. I’d have to have 2 or 3 takes. Maybe more. Also this is my favorite music video of hers. I love her acting as Audrey Hepburn 😍🥰 She will always be my favorite singer. I’m a fan for life. From the moment I saw you I went outta my mind Though I never believed in, love at first sight But you got a magic That I just can't explain Well you got a, you got a way that you make me feel I can do, I can do anything for you baby I'll be down for you baby Lay all my cards out tonight Just call on me baby I'll be there in a hurry It's your move, so baby Baby decide! [Chorus:] Whatever you want from me I'm givin' you everything I'm your baby tonight You've given me ecstasy You are my fantasy I'm your baby tonight From the second you touched me I was ready to die I've never been fatal, you're my first time I feel like an angel, who just started to fly Well you got a, you got a way that you make me Feel I can, feel I can, do anything for you baby I will fly for you baby, hold on and enjoy the ride I'm not in no hurry, We can fly all night baby It's your move, now baby Baby let's fly! [chorus] Whatever I do boy It's all about you baby And ain't the truth boy I'm helplessly in love with you What else can I do boy But be there for you baby You got a, you got a way that you make a me Feel I can, feel I can do any, do anything [chorus] Looks like I'm fatal, It's all on the table And baby you hold the cards, You got the magic And I've got to have it, I don't want the pieces I want every single part, I'll be your angel I'm ready and able, Whatever you want is fine Whenever you're ready, just call on your lady And I'll be your baby tonight

After she died, I couldn't listen to her music for years. I would tear up, and get so angry at the media. But, I couldn't stay away from her music.
