This is such a joyful song about her misery. When she runs to her friends to dance in a club at the end, this just a dream sequence. The music video ends on a the melancholic face of Whitney dreaming of enjoying youth and life, but she can't, she always has to work so hard to bear the pressure of becoming a superstar. Maybe the most personal of her songs. The song is so joyful and catchy that no one really notices she's actually speaking about her misery here.

I'll never forget the weekend Whitney Houston died. It was my junior year of college in Fairfax, VA. On Friday, Feb. 10th, 2012, I took the Greyhound bus to Richmond, VA to visit a bunch of my friends from high school who went to a party school, VCU. My sis came down from Philly. Our other friends from Maryland and Boston. It was a big reunion. I don't quite remember what we did that Friday night or on Sunday, but I remember that Saturday night like it was yesterday. We all got ready to go out clubbing. As we were driving into town, we heard an announcement on the radio that Whitney Houston died. I was close to tears and everyone was speechless. Once we got to the club, as soon as we all walked in, we heard the DJ playing her music. We decided to stay and celebrate her life. The whole night was a tribute to her. I remember my friends and I dancing to, "I wanna dance with somebody" and having the best time! It was such a memorable night, because I wasn't alone in the dorms when I found out that my favorite singer after MJ had just died. I was surrounded by all my childhood friends as we honored her legacy. May you rest in peace, Whitney. I'm now in my 30s and I still rock out to your music regularly. I even tear up everytime I hear you sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in 1991, the year I was born. Your voice is still unmatched. You are an icon for the history books and our hearts.🕊️
