A wonderfully beautiful, inside and out person who was misjudged, lied on and just not allowed to live her life as she needed to. Everyone has some habits whether they be good or bad. Hollywood is full of them. Do they get drug over the coals as Whitney did, and still do? She is they only Superstar who has done drugs?. I love her still and always will. No one can or will take her place in history. My LITTLE SISTER, may she RIP!!!

As a Whitney fan from back in da day...I have always admired her, the show business aspect of her career just took a toll on her - she admitted to Oprah that she wanted to quit the business right after the success of the Bodyguard movie and soundtrack...well now Whitney can rest and even though I still cant believe she is gone, I pray she is resting in peace :( I miss her much

It's too bad she couldn't have just taken a step outta the public eye for a bit to regroup and let the hype/negative press die down. It wasn't supposed to be like this for her...ugh. Poor woman...by this point you could already tell the world of entertainment was taking a toll on her (and I dont mean by drugs because I know she wasn't taking them at this point) but just by her statements of really not enjoying the media world outside of performing. She loved to sing but she did not like the attention. She had good intentions but it seems like everything got to her sighs

@gimmie1261 so what exactly would she have gained from "giving it all up and returning to the church"? people in church have issues as well...a lot of times MORE. This beautiful and talented lady unfortunately had a variety of things that happened to her that caused her to go down a road that she probably never thought she would have. it is good to know that she had finally begun to overcome those issues, but it all came to an abrupt and tragic end.
