This particular show is simply EVERYTHING! PRIME WHITNEY CAN'T BE TOUCHED! I was fortunate enough to see her in concert and to this day I will never forget how this woman had entire stadium of people in tears with a gospel song sung like no other could do it! R.I.P " THE VOICE"!

It's a fast trill.... and her signature melisma that gives her phrase endings that soulful flutter. Or she transitions into head voice - and flys up in the coloratura. Whitney is of course known for those incredible chest belts that blow us all away with the power and beauty of her singular vocal tone and resonance. Her voice RINGS like church bells and trumpets. Prime Whitney had not a flaw to any part of her voice and was really from another planet in her vocal ability. As her voice darkened and developed flaws and more character - she was more soulful and still a great singer with her heart on full display.

The venue was definitely an intentional choice by Whitney! She preferred more intimate spaces for her performances versus large stadiums which she has filled to capacity.

Whitney Houston is the GREATEST black female singer of ALL TIME, next to Aretha Franklin. That trill or flutter @ the end is Signature "runs" into her "falsetto"... Which were clear as the noon day sun!!.. Its much harder to sing clear and soft than loud and belting out notes.. Which she did powerfully as well!!.. Lol.. On a side note.. I know Ur not reacting to music videos anymore which is kinda sad.. Mariah was never offered a HBO concert only the top artist of the era got one, Mariah was brand new when Whitney did this concert, you were huge if you got one a HBO concert. Donna Summer was the first female to get a HBO concert, Towards the end of her commercial dominance which is also a must see, last dance is a highlight among many! Whitney got 3 I don't think any other artist got 3 I could be wrong , maybe Madonna? This was the only artist that hit to perform for our troops while they were in war or coming back. Concert was in a plane hanger. Just like in the movies! Yes she was dating Bobby then.
