This must have been so painfull for Whitney. Struggling to hit the notes. Loosing herself, the wibe. The drugs messed her up for good. But she will always be remembered as "The voice". No one did it like you, Whitney! We remember...❤

This & the next song Nothing But Love are lip-synched. The weight is fluid retention from prednisone. She had to take it because she had C.O.P.D.

Actually the next one Nothing but love varied. This date Munchen she sang the second half live. about half way through they turn on her microphone and you can hear her voice over the track very loudly. In Manhiem they forget to turn it on and you can hear the track fades out half way through and she was supposed to sing. It took a few seconds of her waving her arms about for them to turn it on. I think she started doing it partly live after they complained in melbourne for miming. There are other dates where I think her mic was on quietly for this song, you can hear a background echo and what sounds like a sligthly shaky backing vocal in parts , which is her headset mic I think , because they added a lot of delay for all the songs to make it sound stronger.

No one should have realistically expected she would do things she did during her younger years. I’m surprised she was able to do any of these performances at all. She had severe emphysema with heart disease. She struggled just to breathe at times. It’s impossible to get a full lung of air, much less do runs and rolls at high notes. She tried, and we understand that she did the best she could, but the smoking and the crack had taken a seriously bad toll on her health. That she was able to still perform is testament to how unusually gifted she was. Most people with her health issues are in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank and a nasal cannula.
