As part of her "Bodyguard World Tour", in 1994 I had the privilege of witnessing Whitney's incredible talent just a few feet away from me at her concert in Puerto Rico. It was at the "Hiram Bithorn Stadium" in San Juan. I was stunned with her artistic strength, projection, charisma, but most of all with the voice that God gave her. The setlist was Love Will Save the Day; Saving All My Love for You; How Will I Know; I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me); Nobody Loves Me Like You Do; Didn't We Almost Have It All; Where Do Broken Hearts Go; All the Man That I Need; I'm Your Baby Tonight; I Have Nothing; Queen of the Night; Jesus Loves Me; I Will Always Love You and I'm Every Woman. Well...she wasn't, she was just like you or me...human and imperfect - unbelievably gifted vocally - but human and imperfect just the same. You have never had the entire world's expectations and demands on your back. It is easy to see how that kind of pressure and money driven guidance from those you trust can lead a person into temptation if not in being sharply watchful certainly in needing relief from diamond creating/diamond status PRESSURE. This is not at you it is FOR us all. We tore Whitney apart...We did it.

@@czarinaczar Yes Whitney was a grown woman and ultimately the decisions she made and actions she took were of her own doing but many of them were made/done under the pressure of fame, fear of rejection from/disappoint of her fans and the public. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. It is NOT an easy life. Money is NOT a cure-all salve. If you were not among those who lovingly watched her and had certain expectations that most if not all fans have then fine count yourself separate from the group. I will say that you missed out on seeing and hearing the best vocalist to date come and go.

I have been a can since 1984. What is your site? If there is a song out there that I have missed I will be both overjoyed and disappointed but more overjoyed 😉

2022 and name one female singer in America who can out sing this woman. No one has EVER topped Whitney because her voice was heaven sent. I’m grateful I was there in real time to watch her entire story unfold.

She always changed the songs so much when she sang them live. Her voice was so incredible, though.

When your singing voice can bring tears to the eyes of those who are listening well that voice is a true gift.

I saw this as it happened and my jaw was on the ground . Very few awestruck moments in a lifetime I can recall being overwhelmed by someone so talented. At twelve I stumbled on garlands variety 63 show where I saw Judy sing “ old man River “ Barbra singing in Funny Girl when I was 6 in theatre. Garland singing over the rainbow first time I watched Oz on T when I was 6. Those 3 performances will forever be etched in my mind . This included . I knew I was in presence of God - for that talent could have come from God .

kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKe6laGfotaam6M Greatest live vocal performance in the history of time. I can't there is anyone (past present or 300 yrs from now) who can top this concert performance from her 1986 tour (at the age of 23) Absolutely mesmerizing, scary, beautiful and powerful all at the same time. This performance needs to be studied in universities lol

Wow. One of her best live vocal performances. So powerful and masterful.

She actually went off key 3:26
@redeubelbet.kingdom5212 Жыл бұрын
@@benadams1661 I cannot confirm this but I think she just chose to do a vocal run. In a vocal run you travel through multiple notes in your range. Maybe it wasn’t as crisp because she also used it to transition to her falsetto register. But I see what you mean.

I remember living in LA then. Rick Dees played that song while I was in the car on the 405. I went and bought the album the same day. I still have it. What a beauty, what a talent and what a voice. She will always be missed.
