We all know that Whitney was THE voice. But especially with her hair pushed back like that, it's no doubt that she was also the FACE. Just stunning.

@christian Williams NEVER SAID THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT WHAT WE WON'T DO IS MAKE THAT THE NARRATIVE TO SUPPORT AGENDAS. SHE CAUGHT IN THE GRIPS OF DRUG ABUSE. THAT ALONG WITH AN ADDICTION TO NICOTINE WAS THE CRUX OF HER ISSUES. HER ABILITY TO SING WAS A HUGE PART OF HER IDENTITY. NOT BEING ABLE TO DO THAT WAS PROBLEMATIC.

As part of her "Bodyguard World Tour", in 1994 I had the privilege of witnessing Whitney's incredible talent just a few feet away from me at her concert in Puerto Rico. It was at the "Hiram Bithorn Stadium" in San Juan. I was stunned with her artistic strength, projection, charisma, but most of all with the voice that God gave her. The setlist was Love Will Save the Day; Saving All My Love for You; How Will I Know; I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me); Nobody Loves Me Like You Do; Didn't We Almost Have It All; Where Do Broken Hearts Go; All the Man That I Need; I'm Your Baby Tonight; I Have Nothing; Queen of the Night; Jesus Loves Me; I Will Always Love You and I'm Every Woman. Without a doubt, Whitney has been a great loss to the world. May she and her daughter rest in peace.

She didn't fall apart we tore her apart always asking that she be superhuman at all times. We demanded that she constantly and consistently be red carpet ready, that she be without flaw, that her voice be clear as a bell and acrobatic everytime she sang, that she not make any mistakes, that she be our perfect black princess. Well...she wasn't, she was just like you or me...human and imperfect - unbelievably gifted vocally - but human and imperfect just the same. You have never had the entire world's expectations and demands on your back. It is easy to see how that kind of pressure and money driven guidance from those you trust can lead a person into temptation if not in being sharply watchful certainly in needing relief from diamond creating/diamond status PRESSURE. This is not at you it is FOR us all. We tore Whitney apart...We did it.

@@czarinaczar Yes Whitney was a grown woman and ultimately the decisions she made and actions she took were of her own doing but many of them were made/done under the pressure of fame, fear of rejection from/disappoint of her fans and the public. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. It is NOT an easy life. Money is NOT a cure-all salve. If you were not among those who lovingly watched her and had certain expectations that most if not all fans have then fine count yourself separate from the group. I will say that you missed out on seeing and hearing the best vocalist to date come and go.

amazing, so young, just turned 22. absolutely gorgeous and that voice... and that pitch, having the ability to hit those notes as strong as she did. she would actually get better with age, developing a lusher fullness to her voice.

Yes..she was gifted greatly ..she let the enemy into her life ..who come to steal kill and destroy..the wages of sin is death bit the gift of God is Eternal Life. Romans 6:23 KJV DRUGS KILL ..she playey with them even here..her brother's gave it to her but she accepted..no body made her ..we have free will A stronghold she gave over to the devil..Jesus saves repentance ..people who use drugs or alcohol are in pain..she had everything but True love only God can give us ..being constantly in the eye of a camera is nice at 1st but takes its toll .. I cannot image being followed around all the time and hardly any privacy.. Harmful..media will have a lot to answer before God Matthew 12:36 KJV 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment Very sad..for her and family We were blessed to hear her As she aged she compromised her self.. 😪

I remember so well when I heard this song the first time and how I thought "Wow what a voice this lady has!". 1984 to 1986 was a very busy time for me in my personal life. I had so much to do and it took about two years until I first saw a picture of her somewhere and thought "Oh, not only a lovely voice!". She was, is and will always be my favorite singer. She is the only celebrity that ever died and brought tears to my eyes. Since Whitney and I share a birthday on the same date, but I was born years before her she should have never left this world before me. Should I be allowed to enter Heavens gates when my time comes I hope I will have the honor of hearing her singing. R.I.P. Whitney!

I saw this as it happened and my jaw was on the ground . Very few awestruck moments in a lifetime I can recall being overwhelmed by someone so talented. At twelve I stumbled on garlands variety 63 show where I saw Judy sing “ old man River “ Barbra singing in Funny Girl when I was 6 in theatre. Garland singing over the rainbow first time I watched Oz on T when I was 6. Those 3 performances will forever be etched in my mind . This included . I knew I was in presence of God - for that talent could have come from God .
