I think Robyn felt the interviewer was insensitive. It seemed like he wanted to rehash and emphasize the negative things we had all heard about in the news all those years ago. Robyn was trying to do bring to light the beautiful things about Whitney's character that no one knew about. Their intentions did not align. Likely there was a "mutual" understanding that the interview was to talk about WH's beauty etc. The way he conducted the interview didn't hold up his end of that understanding, and probably angered her. She even very politely and under the radar called him out on it near the end of the interview, it felt like.
@annaj50955 жыл бұрын
Whitney is a polarizing entity that lived a life of "juicy details". Robyn should've known this and if she isnt prepared for the questions she perhaps should not do interviews and just let the book sale itself. Or have her publist give a list of acceptable and unacceptable topics which is what most do. He is an interviewer and his job is to ask the tough questions. You know when I first heard Robyn had now come out to tell her story, I though here we go, another opportunist seeking to make money off Whitney's name. However after listening to this interview, and seeing the genuine emotion in Robyn's eyes that expressed how much love she had for Whitney, I have to take a stand back and give her respect. She was not bitter in the way she spoke, but spoke with simple love and honor, for her dear friend. It was public knowledge already that she and Whitney had an intimate relationship, and she has every right to talk about her side of the story. However this does not mean, that people should start bashing Bobby Brown. I do truly believe Whitney loved both Robyn and Bobby in different ways, and they both loved Whitney. People have to remember Bobby Brown was young at the time, he had been part of a successful teen group, then a solo artist. He lived in the shadow of Whitney fame when they married, and his career took a back seat. The timing was not right for them, but the love was there in the beginning. He was just not at a mature stage in his life, to be able to deal with her level of fame, and with this all sorts of complications arose in the marriage. Whitney also had her own demons before she married Bobby Brown. Bobby has moved on now with his wife and kids, and grown as a person and is at peace with his life, so just let him be. As for Robyn, she just wants to share with the world her love and loyalty to Whitney.
@celiasmith86625 жыл бұрын
@sharon curry She has every right to set the record straight and tell her story, as her name has been gossip about too! Maybe if people understood the relationship better, it wouldn't appear so shady. She too has the right to get everything out in the open as she was just as much part of Whitney life as her family. That said, I hope her book is written with some dignity and seeks to honour Whitney as appose to tarnishing her.

@@celiasmith8662 I agree it's ok for people to tell their story being that she never retaliated and kept quiet all these years. Her talent stands alone and will always stand the test of time. Her personal life was none of our business, but it became the focal point when she was going through some tumultuous things in her life. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t see her face or hear her voice. Whitney was an Angel with titanium wings with a heart of gold and had conquered all the task that she was sent to do and return to the heavens and went home to God. Glad I was alive to know who she was from beginning to Heaven. This book will be heartfelt I’m certain, but this changes nothing for me, I love Whitney with all my heart and soul. My exhusbands mother was molested and she never told anyone. Not her kids or her husband until recently when she had a mental breakdown. I don’t see why the Pat, Mary or Gary would lie about that.
@itsnoahonfire5 жыл бұрын
Pat is a money hungry conniving beast. Gary follows her lead and Mary is Pats family member. They calculated that lie to get interest in their documentary because the other documentary was so well received. Robyn loved Whitney you can feel it in this interview. Whitney and Robyn were thick as thieves she trusted Robyn in ways she didnt even trust her family. She would have told Robyn. Pat Garland is a liar and the devil. Period.

@@itsnoahonfire You could be right but I don’t know these people to call them liars. So I’m still conflicted. We can see they were enablers. But Like I stated before my husbands mother was molested and she didn’t tell anyone until she had a mental break down. Robyn hasn’t been in Whitney’s life since 2000. A lot had went on between 2000-2012 with Whitney. I know Robyn was her best friend but maybe she didn’t want to share that with Robyn at the time. We will never know since Whitney is no longer here. But I understand what you are saying.

For those who think that she is doing for the clout, I think this interview here proves different. She really love Whitney as more than a friend. I do think that if Robyn was by Whitney’s side years prior to her death, I think the overcome would have been different. I think Whitney would have finished Rehab, go her voice back strong and clean up her image. I think her family was worst than her father, at least we all knew out loud he was money hungry, but I think her mother and older brother was chasing the fame using Whitney. They were envious because she had the fame and fortune that they both wanted. The other brother was using her for clout and notoriety... easy way to get into important place and all the drugs in the world. Pat, child that is another story. Bobby, I fell bad for him also because he was totally the blamed for a lot of things that Whitney was doing herself prior to meeting him. Yes, he career was stalled while Her went up. However, he took a lot of hits from the public about Whitney’s demised, yes he didn’t make it any better but it was all a disaster.

She interviewed Michael Jackson in the 90's acted as an understanding friend then turned and interviews the accuser's. Then she hangs out with known pedophiles takes pictures poses with them on there yacht and at events all while "exposing" Michael's indesscretions, please, that Oprah she's a piece of work. Don't buy into it, I used to I don't anymore. Don't get me wrong im not blind Michael was clearly sick and R.kelly definitely guilty.
