Yes Whitney was singing with a backing track for this song. She was sick remember? doctors told her not to go on tour but she insisted on continuing on with this show. besides she only lipped for the front part of the song.. and sang the rest of the concert live while coughing periodically throughout the night. Let's just treat this lipping as a vocal warm up for Whitney ;)

@@MrSilentwater she did a bit under the track. Rather like Britney apparently does. The mic seems to be on a bit and you an hear her slightly shaky voice live at certain points , around 2.33 you hear the live feed come in quite strong.

At least she did not lip sync that much on this tour. I think that she could be lazy and just do playback performances during the whole set, but she did sing live on this tour, even when her voice was not in top shape. I have a lot of respect for that. I would rather hear her real raw vocals then watch her lip-sync throughout her concert, which more singers do this day. The public must have known that her voice was not going to be in the top shape that it was during the 1980´s- 1990´s, mostly because of her cigarette smoking and her body had also seen better days, but that was going to happen sooner or later, when she had the demons that she had during her life. Either way, I do love Whitney, her voice and her music. :)

If you watch other dates the mic is off at the intro but she is live from about 1 minute fully till the end. its odd how they changed it to this.

Don't offend me because I didn't offend you. Each person has their own opinions. I do not have a gut so don't make assumptions that are just not true. Whitney has better style? In which sense? "lipsynchs only for a bit" - again don't be biased because you love WH. You can still be open to criticise someone you like even if you love them. Like I said, don't be blind. And the fact that I work at Elle actually makes my opinion matter more than yours.

I have been to every concert of Madonna's since 2001. So don't say things which are obviously not true. I like Whitney and Madonna equally but if you ever been to her concert (I would very much doubt you would spend $200+ for a ticket and walk out so don't lie) you would know she doesn't lip sync. Watch any video of hers on KZbin from the most recent concerts and you would agree with me on this.

@darthchiam I am a huge fan of Whitney, but common this was definitely lip synched. The people all around me when I went said the same thing. There was no denying that this was lip synched and it is a shame because the rest of the album was more of the same with very brief SINGING within the live set.

i like Madonna as well but I am afraid for you when it is about live concerts everyone knows she lyps sync. her voice has always been a studio voice. i have been to one her concerts in London and Milan and it was always the same thing lypsing sync and I left because I felt riped off my money. at least Whitney with her cold sings LIVE. I am proud of Madonna because she is a showgirl, singing live she cant

Obviously no one agrees with you. She does have a small gut developing. It has nothing to do with style. Don't quiz me about my style because I would know more about this than you would as I work at Elle. Even Madonna has a better body and she is older. "seen her back in the day " when? 20 years ago, yes she did have a good body. Black leather pants is a horrible look btw.

@Kingmidus86 I love Whitney, but she can't sing the way she used to anymore. Those drugs screwed up her voice. She will always be considered one of the greatest singers though.
