Mimi was sanging last year! Overall 2015 was a much more consistent year than 2014 was. There was really no drama, so it was a good year to be a lamb. Vocally, she slayed in her July leg of her #1 To Infinity vegas residency, In the Beacon Theater in December, and while being intoxicated in Jamaica. I'm so proud of her, she did her thing! And if the banshees like christina and a lot of the last 2 generations of singers can get praise for shouting 70% of their upper belts, then i don't know what is a person with a youtube acoount like you trying to accomplish here.

I didnt realize how much vibrato drunk/stoned mariah used in jamaica lol. I love that she's belting, letting loose, and clearly working on her technique. Her tone might be deteriorating, but im glad she still has the voice. I'd like to see more whistle notes again though. But overall, vocally a great year for mariah and im glad i've stuck with her through it all because i love her 💖

+Slaychelle Don't worry. Mariah will have better F#5 in the future. Her overall chest voice is really good right now. Her belts from A4 to D5 are really strong. And she has had good E5 too, and even good F5 belts, her best one was in 2014. I think she can keep getting better, overall i'm glad she ended 2015 in goof vocal condition.

The Heartbreaker whistles were different every night, & pitchy as fuck on many nights, the Love Takes Time whistle was different on a couple of dates too, Someday was most likely pre reordered, the Dreamlover whistle wasn't very pitch accurate either, how can you pitch correct something & have it still sound pitchy?

Thank you Connor for such a comprehensive review of Mariah's 2015 vocals. Her range remains well connected, though her timbre continues to change as she ages. Strict vocal rest, warm weather, regular vocal chord lubrication (even whilst on stage), and dietary changes eliminating dairy, alcohol, and spicy foods will not only help control her waistline but also improve the tonal quality of her voice. It's up to Mariah to remain physically disciplined and artistically fresh, if she wishes to revisit the rarified air of the pole position in 2016.

Love this video!!! Her lower register sounds so good! The mid belts are good too but the tone is sometimes grating, the upper belts sound more pleasant than the mid imo, her falsetto is so agile too, like the runs in AIWFCIY have so many notes fit into such a small melismatic line, I like the airy whistles.

she could literally burp into the mic and it's still sound better than any other artist in today's charts , I mean after decades of constant touring and crazy whistle notes she can still sing like this? there's a reason she is a legend , not just because of her vocal agility and talent , after all the success and fame , she still is so down to earth and has the same (if not more) appreciation for her lambs than when vision of love first hit the charts

Yes I agree this new generation does not seem to care to much about legends now a days. But they fail to realize that legends like Mariah are like Phoenixes they're reinvent their self's as time goes on. Marian is the best example for that because she always gives something new and exciting for each era that she's in. I mean when Mariah gets her next number one whether its from a remix like Fantasy or a solo like We belong together, trust me it gonna be huge. pro ally her best one yet. She even states it her self in We belong together, "this song is not even half of what I feel inside" Meaning that is not half of the greatness she has to offer us in her music. To address her voice, Mariah has a living instrument inside her. The more you take care of it, the better it sounds. When God gives a gift he does take it back from us. God bless
