This moment in the show's life is where the producers should've allowed Whitney and Lauren's bond to naturally unfold on camera and moved past Heidi & Spencer's singular storyline. Their "characters" had only one lifeline in the show that was directly connected to Lauren and the past. Watching back now after this many years, it's painfully obvious that Heidi & Spencer's "characters" on the show have just ran their course. The show had an opportunity to organically grow to something new and exciting. And plus, we could've gotten to see more of Whitney, which would've been a win.

I love how Spencer bought Heidi a $3000+ bag when all we see him do is sit on the sofa and call her at work 24/7 lol I feel like the more insecure Heidi became the more she kept petting and flipping her mane. When ya'll reacted to Kimberly being surprised that Heidi was going to spend her birthday with only Spencer, it seemed like you were like, "Yeah? So what, who cares it's not that abnormal." But I think she asked why Heidi was just going to dinner with _only_ Spencer because it's her *21st* birthday, not just _any_ birthday. Usually people - especially the old Heidi, like from season - go pretty crazy for their 21st. **Although it was clearly ADR anyway so it was the producers trying to get that point across anyway. Obviously ya'll already know all that, I just wanted to give my two cents after the reaction to that specific comment.
