Khamzat vs Strickland would also be epic. You can't keep Strickland down and then you can see that Khamzat will gas out. However Khamzat vs Whittaker has a good chance Khamzat will do to Whittaker did what DDP did to him. Get him down once in 1st round and damage him so he is easy to beat in the standup. Whittaker darts in and out, that will give plenty of time for Khamzat to rest as his biggest weakness is gassing out.

Strickland knows his longevity with his fans relies on not fighting top guys in the division and obviously feels safe in his style against DDP, so he's going to wait it out, until that last minute call for an unranked guy comes in. Cue lots of yelling about "to the death", and when it's a loss by decision, cue the same tired excuses about why jabbing should beat everything else in MMA, or win by decision, cue everyone talking up "last minute" and "because he spars so much".

Why are we going to say khamzat will gas when he hasnt been in a 5round fight. Khamzat emptys his tank in a 3round fight because he knows its only 3 rounds. You cant judge a 3round fight stamina and say ohh he would lose if it was 5 rounds. No , it was 3 rounds all along and khamzat fought like it was 3 rounds.
