I just finished watching the movie, "Deadly Whispers" with Tony Danza. I never heard of this story till now. How sad that a father could murder his own child and shoot her so many times. I just read an internet story which said he made the crime scene look like she had been raped. I don't even want to know how he did this because murdering her was too much already. She was so young and had a full life ahead of her. Who doesn't make mistakes when we are young, we live and learn and have the right to do so. So very sad.

The case has not been cracked yet. No suspects! Her body has never been found! She was only nine years old when she disappointed from Shelby, NC. They hold a vigil and march every year on February 14 in ASHA DEGREE’S honor.

Stories such as these where the Father kills his Daughter saddens me to my core. I was SO lucky to have a Daddy who loved me very much and was always in my corner, if I was wrong or right. I knew he loved me and would do anything for me. I feel so bad for these Girls who had the 1 person who they should have been able to trust and depend on, turn against them. May she rest in peace, knowing that she is not forgotten.

I would like to see you do a story on the EVANSVILLE BASKETBALL TEAM AIRCRAFT TRAGEDY! It happened in December of 1977 in Evansville, Indiana. The entire team was killed except 1 freshman player who was killed two weeks later in a car accident. This eliminated the whole basketball team! The memorial is at the Evansville University!

I am surprised you haven’t went to Montgomery and did a video on Hank Williams Senior, who died of heart failure at the age of 29. He was a country music icon. Also the Civil Rights monument and trail in Montgomery, ALABAMA. Those 40 names on that waterfall monument draws people from all over world to downtown Montgomery to visit and learn about the most pivotal time in United States history. It affected lives of two US PRESIDENT, One US ATTORNEY GENERAL AND DOZENS OF US CONGRESSMEN AND POLITICAL LEADERS!

If you're open to suggestions, you should cover the East Carter school shooting that happened in 1993, killing Deanna McDavid and Marvin Hicks. I was a junior at Greenup County High School when this happened and I had never heard of school shootings happening until this sad day occurred. Both grave sites can be found on Find A Grave. I can't recall if I had mentioned another very horrible murder case that happened in my former hometown and birthplace of Indianapolis but, back in 1965 that town had national coverage of the death of a teenager, Sylvia Likens. Look up the facts on the Internet, Chris, and see what exactly happened. As to where Sylvia was buried, I'm not sure but, I'll check up on it. That story is maybe worth telling on your series.

Here are some facts about Sylvia Likens, Chris: Sylvia was born 1-3-1949 & died on 10-26-1965. She's buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana (Boone County). Over 100 people attended her funeral. Wikipedia has a huge write up on the tragic events that led to Sylvia's death. A unique things I remember about the event was reading and watching it reported on TV news. In the summer of 1966, when I was approaching my 16th birthday, my mom and I drove by the house where the murder took place (there again, I'd have to look more into the details to see but, I think she lived near New York Street in Indy). Mom, a social worker for the Indianapolis Red Cross, wanted to see the house area. We slowly drove by it while she was giving me her "social work view" of a very disturbing family situation that had many people of the families out of control. A few years later while in my high school years, I read the details of the story in a paperback book written by one of the "ace" Indianapolis News newspaper reporters. Anyway...there's a start of a possible episode of your Whittdocs Reports you might think about doing.

This is one of the horrific murders. I remember watching the movie about her in 1995. It really affected me then and still does today. I been trying to find out what to him, if is dead or still I can find nothing. He never deserved to take another breath after what he did to that poor girl. I will always believe the reason was jealousy not demons that he murdered Kathy. She wasn't a child anymore and a strict father would have beaten her, not shot her 27 times. The man was so fake with the "I have lots of people living in me" crazy act. I'm the the jury and judge seen right through that ignorant nonsense.
