Of course if a person speak the true he most repeat the same that all real spiritual teachers have been saying since thousands of years ago because there is only one true. The problem is not to say the true but to sense the body, perceive the world, think and behave according to this true. For me this humble man for the way he speak, his body movements and his life curriculum is a person who live what he teach.

A prisoner in a dark and closed prison. The prison has no windows, no doors therefore the prisoner cannot see outside the prison. There are so many persons passing days like prisoners, passing days in the dark without knowing meaning of life.

the conflict is the reality that the ego mind is capable of creating so much things : just look at the beautiful conference hall and the technological stuff making it possible to watch this video : it would never have appeared directly out of nature without the creative interaction of this ego mind .

Yes my thoughts exactly. No guru would have ever invented the nuclear bomb. Sorry bit of a joke. I think we have our ego to achieve stuff out there and this getting stuff gives people purpose in the world. People want to be valued. But at some point unfortunately or fortunately you come to the realisation that everything is bullshit. And at this point you need to transcend. It is the highest purpose. Otherwise you fall in a void of despair. I had to get a donkey to pull me out last time.

There are three essential steps in the spiritual path: the first is to notice that one is not a body or a mind, but rather the Awareness in which these appear, and with which they are known; the second is to explore the nature of Awareness and discover that it doesn’t share the destiny or the limits of the body and mind - that is, to discover its eternal, infinite nature; and the third is to live a life that is consistent with this understanding.

@@coenterhaar9183 in spirituality though , often the ideas can lead to misunderstanding : non identification with the body mind doesn't mean being fully in the body is wrong ; creators and artists are well in the body , that's the experience what God wanted to have if not He could have stayed home ...

So, would it be ok to ask the question: How does he know that your essence is pure consciousness? Has he experienced this infinite consciousness? If so, how? I mean, for the rest of us who live in a materialistic world, how can we get to that knowing?

Meditation is the key especially vipassana meditation where you learn to observe you own feelings,sensations etc.in my own discovery,i found that pain is not continuous,it is trobbing.its has a space of no pain in between.im still work in progress and discovering new things about myself.my view is meditation is the key to understand the so called 'self' or me.🙂🙂🙂

@@cazalis Hello Carlos, thank you so much for your reply and invitation. - Have I recognized awareness? - This can’t be answered in the usual form of a yes/no answer. In my experience, there are varying degrees of awareness. It’s a continuous process of ego disillusion and dis-identification through meditation and reading books. I think I am progressing very well on this path, as I am much more accepting and equanimous than before. As fate would have it, being diagnosed with an “incurable” terminal disease in the past year has accelerated my process. I would welcome the opportunity to deepen my connection to source consciousness even further, but I’m not sure exactly what you are proposing. Could you ‘enlighten’ me?

I beg to differ, Billy. Not to make you wrong, so I can be right; however, we are *not* only pure consciousness. That is the essential nature of our being. You, like so many others, choose to separate our humanity from our Being. We are both...simultaneously. We are consciousness, our body, our spirit, our environment and The Universe. It's become quite tiring to see so my good folks say we are spirit having a human experience. Alan Watts gives the good account. This is it, all of it and we are IT!

@@steak8278 Your reply is well thought out, however, you treat the ego as a holus-bolus entity, identical for all humans. Perhaps, but, not in my experience of watching others, both close to me and acquaintances. Thank you. I will add, of late, the New Age dictum, dare I type dogma, is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. This places all the emphasis on spirit, not on our perceptual existence, which, is entirely dependant upon the environment, mostly. While not an adherent of any guru or disciple, I like the stories AW tells...mostly, until he too becomes lost in the barren fields of Alutha Hypothesis. hahaha🙏

@@steak8278 Of course my perception will be different from yours and others. This does not mean that the stimulae that created it are different. Our perceptions are not all based solely on what we take in, but, on “our belief, our insides and our thought” ~ Ibn al 'Arabi 1165 - 1240 CE I'll let a Sufi mentor tell it in person. Here is the full text: *People of Perfection* For people of perfection Are they Who Paying attention to their breathing Become like guardians To the treasury of their Hearts Let them stand there as guardian And do not allow any stranger to enter The treasury of the Heart Is the library of God Let him not allow thoughts Other than those concerning God To enter The roads that lead to God Are as many As the breaths of the creatures In every breath There is a road Which ends in God What befits the man of gnosis And is necessary for him to do Is that he should take Each breath from God And return it to Him It is equally allowable To interpret this breath As the Self If the breath or Self Were to leave the man It would return to its Origin It has no colour Whatever is the thought Or work of the servant That breath or Self Comes painted With that colour And expands under that garb It is necessary to keep the Heart Pure from things That are unfitting to God’s satisfaction It is necessary to purify it From bad memories The Heart of the servant Is the treasury and library of God Man is its custodian Every reflection Other than God Is a thief and a bandit The Heart of the believer Is the place of revelation of God The Heart of the believer is The throne of God A man is essentially A Divine workhouse The ipseity of God Is in constant revelation And true orders Descend upon the servant As its descent is Colourless and formless So it itself Is also colourless and formless Yet God creates the relation In every colour and kind And creates them According to the colour of the man His belief His inside And his thought The right person Must not be unaware He must try to return That divine revelation Just as it came to him Without form or weight Colourless and formless The real question Is to honour And respect its rights And be able to return it Exactly as it came Whether it be in the man Or outside him All affairs Thoughts Actions Beliefs Imaginings And even all the breaths taken Not one atom Of all these Goes to naught

@@jageo48 Sir you are right. but for understanding first elimination of all is done and then all perceptive and non perceptive is added. if we will not eliminate perceptions it will not be possible to understand what is beyond.

With respect... who is this gentleman? It’s all been said before, many times over. If I close my eyes I’m listening to Eckhart Tolle and similar teachers.
@SusanHopkinson
@SusanHopkinson 4 жыл бұрын
That is because all of these teachers are trying to describe the truth of our nature with words, which are limited. Eckhart Tolle says nothing new, he just says it in his own way. These are the teachings of enlightenment. There is an inherent truth to them across time and culture, and this is why we hear similar words and images used by many teachers, since the Vedas 3500 years ago.
@lightdweller1
@lightdweller1 4 жыл бұрын
Susan Hopkinson Thanks. Yes I understand that. It just sounds a little stilted and elementary; not so much enlightened as vocalising text book phraseology. Unlike Adyashanti for instance who is an enlightened teacher, and can speak with fluidity to explain the processes and describe the experience, making it very accessible and engaging! But of course this is just my own opinion and each to their own... maybe I’m just not on this man’s wavelength. If you get something from it and others do too, then that’s wonderful.

@@lightdweller1 Hi, Yes different teachers resonate with different people, but they are all good at pointing to that which is impossible to accurately be described with words....😊 The 26 letters of the alphabet is too limited.....it can only point.... What are we without the alphabet and words.....what remains?....What is here? Ultimately realization or awakening happens when being still.....❤️
