Too much theories and assumptions can sometimes be dangerous. Different sorces claimed that Siddis were taken to India as slaves, mercenaries, domestic workers, body guards etc. There are lots of contradictions in various sources with different opinions. If some Siddis living in India still retain their Afrikan cultures, norms abc values. What is their Afrikan names, language and tribal identity? That would make it easier for them to trace their Afrikan routes. What most people don't understand is that before Arabs, Portuguese and British set their feet into Afrika's soil, Afrikans were also travellers and sailors. Some migrated to other places because of war and famine to look for abetter life. It is not always to do with slavery.

Absolutley! The Andaman Island tribe or Sentinelese tribe have been in India for over 50,000 years. They are said to have evolved a natural immunity to malaria. They also refuse any contact with outsiders. The idea that Afro or African people "only" arrived via slave ships is an antiquated and false idea. I am in agreement with the African "mulit-path arrival theory" in India. 1. There was trade between East-Africans and the "Sind" or now Indians, that predates known slavery periods under Omani-Arabs. 2. There was a time in America when Americans whose ancestors were taken there as slaves, were called Negroes. And for the records, the British took and or encouraged Indians to migrate and settle in east Africa and south Africa. Most Indians in South and East Africa have been there for the last 300 years. The difference is that, while the Indians who came to Africa succeeded in keeping their culture, language and even relationships back in India, the Africans taken to India forgot home and everything about themselves. It's not uncommon unfortunately. Even in our families, someone travels to Europe and 10years later he leaves behind every memory of Africa and becomes more European than ethnic Europeans. Instead of making a mere sensational video and claim stories about the origins of the siddis, why can't this professor lady just visit India and see for herself. Some siddis still bear their African names and even know the exact country their grand parents came from in Africa. Not all dark skinned people from India are of African descent. The original Tamil Nadu people are indigenous peoples and not Africans. The other people are also Indus Valley civilization peoples. The British were in no way responsible for the slavery of Siddi's ancestors. Britain abolished the slave trade throughout their empire by 1807. Slavery itself was abolished throughout their empire by the British in 1834. Areas of Karnataka, Maharastra, and Gujrath were under the British only after 1819, after the third British-Maratha war. The Portuguese were in Goa from about 1510. Slavery was banned by the Portuguese only in 1869. Almost all of the Siddis of Karnataka are the descendants of either escaped slaves from the Portuguese slaves from Goa or migrants from Goa, post-abolition of slavery. Most of the ancestors of Siddis in Pakistan, Gujarat, Maharastra & Andrapradesh were either brought in by the Moguls or the Delhi Sultanates either as slaves or slave-solders. Only in Karnataka the Siddis are Hindu or Christian. In other areas of the sub-continent, they are entirely Muslim. The mother tongue of Siddis of Karnataka is Konkani, while that of the local population is Kannada. Konkani is the mother tongue of the people of Goa, which was a Portuguese colony for about 451 Years. Hope this clears the matter a bit.

When you are talking about indians, you know you are talking about TAMIL PPl. until 4th/5th centuries the whole india/pakistan spoke tamil and until 14th/15th centuries tamil king rules the whole asia. most importantly if you go back in history at some point we were all black.
