Oh rubbish about the rapture before tribulation. I Matthew 24:29-31 Jesus clearly says AFTER the tribulation the Son of Man will appear and send His angels to collect the elect. Period.

No one knows who the 24 Elders are. Yes, many ideas can come forward and be speculated, ranging from past worlds, religious orders, 12 tribes, and so on. But for a fact, their identity is not given. The robes on the other hand suggest elders of this world, perhaps as far back as Adam and Eve. No one really knows. But where the pre-trib idea comes in on these is beyond me. Tribulation timing has nothing to do with the Elders. And as Jesus said, "Immediately AFTER the tribulation," as he NEVER said before or during. That is man's idea (or Satan's), and is not biblical or secret. If the Elders are from this earth, then they would have been among those found in Mat 27:52-53, as that was the second stage of resurrection, the first group following that of Jesus. The next will be the dead in Christ, followed by those who are alive and remain. Then the 2 witnesses, followed by those who are beheaded for rejecting the Mark of the Beast. These are all pre-millennial. After the millennium, there will be 2 more resurrections. The rest of the dead, followed by all who died standing on their feet by the hand of God, in time for the Day of Judgment. The Bible clearly shows 8 resurrections, within a likely 7 stages.

I believe that the twenty four elders are the resurrected that arose when Jesus was crucified and they were forunners of the church. Being true believers and elders of the old testament! Moses, Abraham, Noah, and so on. John met at least seen these men but would not know who they were without an introduction, since they had no pictures to reference by. But Rev. 7:9-14 assures us that when the 144,000 of God are sealed we are already there because John is told by one of the elders that the multitude that no man could number came out of great tribulation. So I think that the 144,000 will come from the same rapture that the church is in. Thank you brothers for your dedication to spreading the word! God bless

They represent the faithfull annointed who rule with christ in heaven. 1 Corinthians 9:25 it cant be those who come through the great tribulation because that happens on earth

What about Paul, he wrote 2/3rd's of the NT and what about John, whom Jesus loved (he may have seen himself, no one can say...) I believe their identities are secret for a purpose, if he had named their names... there would have sprouted another 1,000,000 false doctrines, especially since some of those that are the elders are probably not even mentioned much in the bible.

The problem I have with the 24 elders as the church, is that it does not agree with Rev 10:7 which places the rapture at the seventh trumpet. The mystery of God is Christ in you the hope of glory, Col 1:27. Apparently God is quite capable of resurrecting the souls under the altar in heaven, Rev 6:9-11, for a short period of time. We always have to keep in mind these verses. 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 KJVS [20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [23] But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. John 6:44 KJVS [44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. The identity of the 24 elders puzzles me especially since the 144,000 are called a firstfruits to God and the lamb, Rev 14:3&4, and sing a song before these elders. Revelation 14:3-4 KJVS [3] And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. [4] These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. So if the 144,000 are called firstfruits. What would that make the 24 elders if they are human? The book of Revelation is and has been a difficult and enigmatic piece of literature that has puzzled better minds than mine over the centuries. Perhaps there are times a man should just say “I don’t know”, and just let it go at that.

Theres no way the 24 elders could be people, because the bible says no man has seen God, nor has any man ascended into heaven except the son of God. These 24 elders are mentioned before (not after) the great tribulation. These 24 elders have to be the 1st angles because when saved men die, they sleep until the resurrection, THEY DO NOT ASCEND TO HEAVEN they descend to Abraham Bosom until the 1st resurrection

My turn now: this man sounds this time pretty much close to the truth related to the 24 elders. But he missed something. How can it be possible that they are 24 elders? What the number 24 means in that prophecy? It is so simple to see and understand. When he said the 24 elders represent the Church, it said right, but for a better understanding, he should explain the mystery of the Church that consists in a mixture of Jews and Gentils, which gives you 24 elders. 12 disciples and 12 tribes of the house of Israel. That's why we have (2*12) 24 elders that is exactly the type of the Church of God. Otherwise, why should they be 24 while the people of God is 12 tribes of the children of Israel. Since all the people of the earth should be blessed in Abraham and his seed, as God told Abraham so, this bring to conclude that though the nation of Israel does not yet enter the kingdom of heavens ( Church), all the Jews who beleive and get into the rest of God in Christ ( the mystery of half of the 24 elders), together with all the gentils who believe and inheritate the same promise than the Jews who believe ( the 2nd half of the 24 elders), are the Church of Christ. It is as if 12 tribes of Israel have had a spiritual conterpart of 12 spiritual tribes which are the gentils who beleive in Christ. So that is why we have in the prophecy 24 elders. I bet though this man says the truth, but lots of peoples did not understand the concept of 24 elders while they know there are only 12 tribes of the children of Israel..

The ancient gnostic meaning is it's for truly enlightened person because you have righteous man=8 sparit body=8 Devine God=8 you understand all three that's when you get the spirit of God and his wisdom or as the new age or calling it the akashic records as ancient Christianity calls it the crown of jewels that you were to cast at his feet however you want to name it it equals out to one because it's representation of the Trinity also so we have 8+8+8=24 ... Can see God with our physical eyes....exod 33:20 ....rapture is simply a man made teaching....remember all feasts n festivals are not celebrated in the church today because after christ ascended to heaven and his diciples passed on...they were abolished by the rc church ..even saturday Sabbath is gone... I don’t believe Scripture teaches a pre-trib Rapture. Rather a post-trib Rapture. It is about understanding that those who are Saved are Israel and understanding the 7 High Holy Feast Days.
