For those interested: Part 1 ends @ 24:55 Part 2 starts @ 38:04 Excellent synopsis, and it seems this performance would be a great show, the #fall movements were quite important and it helped people feel like they had a voice, a chance to change something. The exclusion of white students in the later meetings and violence that was also present later on led to the detriment of the initial notion. Rhodes was a megalomaniac and literally the definition of an imperialist, he shouldn't be honored but he shouldn't be forgotten either, he is a reminder of what we don't stand for the domination of one nation/race over another. I just worry about the changing narrative and abandonment of unity. I think nowadays the well founded impatience with the government in regards to transformation (racial demographic transformation in the work place, schools, sports , etc, economic transformation, opportunity transformation) has lead to controversial tactics, harmless ones such as the poo throwing, and more extreme ones such as arson. This is mainly because of the slow pace of the 'transformation' at large and dissatisfaction with the ANC. At 15:55 when he mentions a cricket quota, the quota is a minimum not a cap for black South Africans, it's affirmative action meant to give more opportunities to previously disadvantaged individuals. However the notion to work "twice as hard" is very real especially when people are learning English at the same time as their degree while having financial problems. @ 47:21 When she mentions the hair regulations, all schools have these and they are the same for all students regardless of colour, boys especially are not allowed long hair, doesn't matter if it falls in your face or stands up. There was a case at Pretoria girls high where the black students were not allowed afro's because african hairstyles were not apart of the 'correct' styles, this made national news and was changed. If there discrimination it needs to be addressed, we shouldn't teach kids "that's rascist" we should teach them "That's discrimination and ethically wrong". I think "the fall" is an excellent way to remember this movement for it's importance and not it's chaos, it's a reminder to people on why we protest not to just call attention but to make a lasting change. That second last scene showing the disunity in the end and the absolutism was really amazingly self reflective and honestly awesome especially how they left it on an open note. And the last scene about the police violence, double standards and confusion was also a great finisher.

As long as some whites don’t stop blacks from making a living or building wealth. A few blacks also. I love what followed as with the play. Colonialism was not nice.

Colonialism isn't nice or ethically sound or just or humane but is still perpetuated there, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Caribbean. We need unity. I look forward to experiencing this production somehow. Congratulations to the writers, cast and crew! oxo

This is a waste of time. South Africa appears to want to end up like Zimbabwe, unable to feed itself and make it's money worthless. Zimbabwe used to be Rhodesia. Rhodesia fed itself and countries around it. Rhodesia was rich. Now Zimbabwe is now poor, but decolonized.
