Stevie and Craig are so right about the 5 best Scottish players of all time. If you were born after lets say 1985, you will have no clue at how good some of the Scottish players were. There were so many and there is no way you could pick the top 5 of all time. You'd be leaving out too many of them. For me, Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law and Jim Baxter would have to be on that list. That leaves only 2 more spots out of all those great players. Impossible.

Not only has Scottish football fallen but the scary Hungarian team in the 50's was the best in the world and should of won the world cup. Now Hungary is nowhere. Also Romania was great in the 80's, 90's with Steaua winning the champions league. Now they are pitiful. It's a shame.

Oliver Kahn won the golden ball at a world cup, the only goalkeeper to ever do so, dragging a mediocre team to the final. He also won the champions league with a very average Bayern team, with an unforgettable performance against real madrid and in the final against valencia. Buffon and Casillas were both great, but also played on great teams, and never carried their teams single handedly in the same fashion Kahn did. As much as I like Neuer, he also played on vastly superior teams than Kahn did.

It should also be mentioned that Kahn is perhaps the single reason why the US was knocked out of the 2002 WC and US players from that era are still bitter about that game.
