Ukraine defence officials have described claims of corruption within its army recruitment as "shameful and unacceptable".
It comes as President Volodymyr Zelensky recently sacked every regional head of recruitment in Ukraine after widespread allegations against officers in the system, including bribe-taking and intimidation.
Ukraine constantly needs to replace the tens of thousands who've been killed or injured in the war.
However, some men don't want to fight. Thousands have left the country, sometimes after bribing officials, and others are finding ways of dodging recruitment officers.

I am following several Ukrainian TG channels and there are daily videos of the literal manhunt for fresh recruits on the streets of all their major cities with people simply being grabbed and thrown in vans to be sent to frontlines after a short training.

There are more women in nursing, so if a war career happens to overlap with a career field where women already dominate, that's another example of women who would be fine in the military. But feminists claim that woman and men are equal in everyway and that there is no difference between them, and that is why they expect equal outcomes. But that scenario is another exception, not a rule. Since they insist they are identical, they should prove it by registering as draft eligable. If they do that, and if they don't act like this kid when they get called up in a draft, it would go a long way towards their cause. If any of them do that, I'll eat my hat. 😂

The reality is all nations lie about casualties, even the US lied about losses for several years during Gulf War I, Gulf War II, War in Afghanistan / Global war on terror. The real numbers of casualties didn't come out until several years after the casualties occurred, they were obfuscated in technicalities. This is done intentionally by ALL sides during war as public admission of exact casualties can and ARE used by opposing sides for propoganda purposes. So yes, Ukraine lies about losses just as Russia does and anyone else does who is in a war. The real numbers will not be known until the war ends.

I've been looking for this saying all day because I think it best describes wars. A saying of my Serbian people from the First World War "In war, the state gives cannons, the rich give horses and oxen, the poor give their sons. When the war is over, the state takes its cannons, the rich buy new horses and oxen, and the poor are looking for their sons' graves" In the Serbian language, it rhymes and sounds more fluid, but the point is there, the children of those who wage war do not fight and do not die. While such reporting has merit, I don't think it was particularly _brave_, because they do not have much to lose. Ukraine is not going to cut the BBC off; the reporter is not subject to conscription himself. It does show that the BBC is not Ukrainian propaganda - but I imagine there are Ukrainian news sources with similar stories, who have more to lose.

A few hints of the truth here and there does not negate the prior editorial introduction of propaganda. What it does show is the BBC are very well experienced in ‘treading the line’, they neither want to annoy the establishment that they are a part of, nor present news that is too outrageously biased and blinkered that their core audience start to see through it.

The baby does not choose to be born of r4pe, or to get injured during the fighting if it was conceived in love. 4)Women go through torture just trying to adjust to trench life. Did you know that female Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines wear catheters while they fight, so they won't have to leave the trench to relieve themselves? I mean, that's tough, and admirable. The real sickening thing is, that many fled women live actually interesting and great lives in the EU but also at home. Also a lot of young Ukrainian ladies are on social media, making vacation and entertaining TikTok videos, all the while the men die in droves on the battlefield. Make a test yourself and look things up on social media. Never was the difference between men's and women's fates so extreme like in this conflict.

Then wy not focus on those complaints instead, draw attention to them. Why just say they don't want to be in a war, knowing full well nobosy else does either? Zelenksy has a backlog of corruption reports and evidence that he works on everyday, nobosy has done more to fix corruption in Ukraine than Zelenksy. If what you are saying is true, they could call attention to it and it will probably be routed to the front of the list. Anything that effects the frontline situaiton with troops is going to be a high priority. There is only so much time in a day, if there are problems like that, they need to be brought to his attention in a bigger way than just reporting it. It could take them months to get to that one specifically. If it's in the news that will move it up to the front.

It was true at the beginning of the war. There weren't enough weapons and military gear to hand out. It's been 1 1/2 years already, so it's reasonable to think that they've had time to officially recruit them. I did see a video by CNN the other day about men who are transforming everyday trucks to bulletproof military trucks. One man who was interviewed said that his skill wasn't needed yet, so that he was waiting to get drafted. In the mean time, he was helping in another way. They need reserves too, so...

Helping out would be great, but if you can’t support the soldiers after the war, then forget it. That’s what we do here in United States is we treat our veterans like dirt, poor quality, healthcare, long waits, etc. and poor pay

Say goodby to family, friend before going to front line. I monitor and watch/read report about this war from many sources. The way Ukraine meat grinding attack, the chance to survive is less than 10 percent. Russia is still ok, they retreat and save their soldier if they know they cannot win the front battle to minimise the casualities.

I was in the US Army during Vietnam. Their were guys my age who fled to Canada and others who got, what seemed to be, 'fake' medical deferment's. There were about 50,000 young guys who died in that war. i understand them not wanting to be in the military but it was our country and we were needed to fight. To this day, men in my generation still argue about the Vietnam War, was it justifiable? However, I can understand why young Russian men do not want to fight against Ukraine. It is a terrifying feeling know that you might be killed especially if you are not sure what you are dying for.
