Zuego have a huge range of teams if you don’t paint your own gives access to World Club Teams that are in expensive..

Just caught up with this video thanks to a mention by Subbuteo Online - that's good stuff Stewart, very useful and also good history. I buy teams from Astrobase as well as all of the other types - Enrico Tecchiati at Astrobase is the chap who designed the Parodi 'black box' teams, in fact they started by overpainting excess Hasbro stock and putting them in the black boxes before the Parodi figures became available.

Went to my first Subbuteo meeting yesterday, as looking to have a game or 2 (after around 40 years). Rocked up with my old HW Chelsea ref 42 and found out the game moved on about 30 years ago. All the guys playing with the ‘Slider’ type players, I had a go with some and found them easier to use than I thought. Went straight home and ordered my first Zuego team so I don’t get laughed out the club next time. Although I will use sliders from now on, I will still continue to collect the old HW’s.

At the RAS club, we play with everything from old celluloid to HWs & LW to the sliders. Even had Zombies used.

@Subbuteo Collector Sounds like you have more variety at your club, which is good. It’s sliders or nothing where I went, but I’m so glad I have found a club, apparently England’s 2nd oldest subbuteo club (since 69!). Always thought Zuego was odd until now, can’t wait to order more teams. I was surprisingly ok using sliders, although the game just seemed bogged down with rules instead of a bit of fun, but pleased to play again after all the years. Still gonna collect HW’s though, love em.

Good informative video mate . Got a few Zeugo teams on Heavyweight bases and they play very well . Got some original ones plus a few “you paints” Downside with the figures imo are the heads are too big and the original ones are glossy looking paint wise. Plus side though, they are very robust and affordable 😊

Love AC Milan as well! Shevchenko's fault, still have my shirt hanging on the wall of him from being a kid. Zeugo though are brilliant. Only started again 2 years ago so almost every team I have is zeugo bar the spanish subbuteo teams and a leeds LW

Yeah, I always wondered what Zuego was all about, but after going to my first meeting and seeing everyone using them and seeing how they played, I thought..wow!. Just bought my first Zuego team and will definitely be buying more. That said, I still enjoy collecting the old HW’s.

would suggest check out various bases that Astrobase have with various teams, Astrobase H/W are vary similar to the Santiago type 1 and Top Spin in figure and bases. However the soccer 3d (l/w) from astrobase have loads of different bases, have a look around as you get the 'classic' style to ones that could be total soccer bases.

Genoese here. In our "dialect" (or better language) zeugo is pronounced /'zøgu/ (z as z in zoo, eu as eu in French feu or oe in German Goethe, g as in gag, o as oo in American English food). Non-Genoese Italians probably pronounce it ['d͡zeugo] or ['d͡zɛugo].

The flatter zeugo bases actually do swerve, with some serious bias. Excellent for chipping defensive walls and slide very well.

Hello mate, I'm graduating university in a few months, and I am thinking of embarking on a Subbuteo Virtual Reality game project once I do so. I'll graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in the art and design of video games. My question to you and your subscribers is how much interest do you think there would be in this from the Subbuteo / table football community? My father introduced me to Subbuteo when I was a child, and would love to see it in a digital form as well. I think it could introduce a new demographic to the hobby that otherwise may not know about Subbuteo's existence. Interested to hear what you guys think!. Cheers, Rob.

Personally I think it’s be great idea. Play in different stadiums etc. Anything to get kids involved would be amazing. Worth searching a chap call Paul Goad on Facebook in Canada I believe. He 3D prints subbuteo but a year back he was had created full 3D models simulated models stadiums. Might be someone worth talking with :-)

I don't know for sure, but I bet that if you want to play in a FISTF approved tournament, you would have to show that your team is FISTF approved. I'd image also that Astrobase have to pay for a license to print that logo on the side of their box.
