Those big chunks of Pickles plus extra red chilis hmmmm Potato salad should have neutral ingredients to balance out the BBQ. Just White vinegar, regular cooked potatoes, salt pepper,mayo,mustard. Optional:hard boiled, eggs, garlic salt, onion powder, dill,relish You don't have to use fancy ingredients that's the whole point.

People who like extra spicy, sour, salty or sweet foods have to check their recipes because they tend to build a tolerance and then just keep adding more and more not realizing everyone else doesn't taste food the same way. It's really common to run into this problem. I always know when someone says I like spicy or sour, it's going to be a problem. 😆

As a pale ginger from AL I might not have room to speak on this to some, but I think only one person's potato salad would have survived where I'm from. We're not adding carrots, celery, or anything like. Some folks will chop up pickles, but most just use relish, needs to be dill, sweet is a sin. Boiled eggs are a must. The egg whites give you a slightly different texture while the yolks break up and mix with the liquids to bind everything in a smooth, creamy base. Cubed Russet Potatoes, Diced Hard Boiled Eggs, Dill Relish, Mayo (just enough for consistency, but not a lot), Plenty of Yellow Mustard, Black Pepper, Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder. Onions, Paprika, and Celery Salt are acceptable as well.

Red Potatoes - boil , peel, then dice Add diced boiled Eggs , onion , red bell pepper , sweet relish , mayo (I like hellmans) , pinch of mustard, salt (not too much), pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, -mix together (can substitute seasonings and use Season All instead) That’s it that’s all !!!! ❤❤

I can appreciate the different styles, because potato salad should be changed based on the cuisine type. I’ve had/made good Cajun, American Southern, German, and Greek potato salad. With that being said.. the plus one seems to have done the best lol.

How do ppl mess up potato salad? Cut potatos to size that is not to big or too small. Cook potato's until they are cooked (not hard, but not mush). Add mayo, vinegar, crumble up egg yellow, toss in cut egg whites, season. Just a simple potato salad! Oh and red potatos keep the skin!

I do red potatoes with the skin on. Just a lil. Golden skin potato on as well. Not all on . Purple onion. Garlic,fresh, cut a dab of Clausin pickle. A dab. Spicy mustard. A dab of that too . Egg too. Real mayo. Not the sweet stuff. A small squeeze of lemon or lime juice and salt and pepper. I was never taught about how much. It's called the taste. Y'all did great! Subscribed here! 👍🏿
