for the ryu smash that moved kirby without damaging him: Ryu’s final smash has a “carry” hitbox and a damage hitbox. The damage hitbox is in the hadoken, while the carry hitbox is all around the hadoken and that doesn’t deal any damage, it’s only purpose is to make sure that as many characters as possible get into the hadoken. So this why kirby didn’t get damaged, he got hit by the carry hitbox but not by the damaging hitbox
