Good to hear about Cousin Gene Smith...his Book about the "early days" travelling with Elvis is Great Read, I really enjoyed it. Very "positive" interesting Book. Genes wife Louise sounded like a No non-sense person, but good woman. Ive seen her talk in interviews too. Funny story how she first met Elvis & Gene. Great Billy pointed out no rivalry between him & Gene I didnt think so anyway. You guys very genuine folks, it comes across, the honesty. I heard Cassandra Peterson, A.K.A. Elvira, say she was a Las Vegas show girl in the 70's and she dated Elvis. When and for how long, please? Proud of Laney for sticking with her instrument.❤ I went to Carlisle, PA to hear the Carlisle Town Band. It's their 180th year. They have a 13 yr old boy who joined them this year. He plays the French horn. His mother plays trumpet in the band. It was a great concert.

Tonight on American Idol a young man Triston Harper, only 15 yrs old, sang Elvis' Heart Break Hotel. He even tried to do Elvis' hip movements. He is an old sole and has a great baritone voice. Every now and then this terrible thought enters my mind of what are we gonna do when there's no direct living connections to Elvis anymore?, or at least the people who are family and who're complimentary to The Man? I cant believe that there's not many left.
