My Gram could NEVER stay out of the kitchen! It WAS HER PLACE, where she was comfy, but more so, she ran the kitchen in the house, Always had to make it just right. Gosh, she made the BEST brown gravy, I know it's a weird thing to remember, but my mom used flour/water mixture to thicken her gravy. My grandmother simmered her's down to it's dark brown richness and her "gravy master" it's still sold today!!!
