In today’s video we have some fun by taking a look at a variety of differences between the USA & France and vote for WHO DOES IT BETTER!!! We don’t see eye to eye on all the different subjects so watch us debate on which one we prefer!
Our responses are pretty split 50/50 between the French way and the American way! This video was a ton of fun to make and I’m excited to share it with you guys. Please let us know in the comments below if you AGREE or DISAGREE with any of our answers!
We lost track of time and the video ended up being pretty long, so we have split it up into two separate parts! Hope you enjoy this PART I and be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss PART II coming soon!

I agree and I do love local restaurants, don't get me wrong! My favorite French restaurants are small indépendant restos ! But there are so many chains in the states, and more of those came to mind in the rapid fire game so I chose that because I miss certain chains!

Hi Jordan. If you like eating duck, you should try typical South west meals, like "confit de canard", or "magret de canard". About mustard (I live in Paris, but come from Burgundy) you should have the "old fashioned" one, with little seeds in it. PS : Americans are drivers, french are pilots. (especially in countryside)
@JordanPatrick
@JordanPatrick 4 жыл бұрын
YES!! The restaurant I was talking about that I go to on my birthdays for duck is a BASQUE restaurant!!! SOOOO GOOOOD.. I like "confit de canard" sometimes, but it's not my favorite cause I prefer when there's no bone haha...Le "magret de canard" est très bon aussi!

@@JordanPatrick I've stopped eating meat many years ago now, but I used to like the confit very much. (despite the bones, the meat comes off very easily).

I drove in France last Christmas... oy. I was fine on the highways, but was having a tough time finding my way around in the city (and it was a small city!). I like my big California freeways and the grids of the cities! I'm horrible with flags, but I immediately picked up on Kate's flag being wrong. There's a website (American) that was selling square pillows with the French tri-colors for $50, or the Netherlands' flag for $20. They were the same pillow, only turned in the proper direction for each flag.
@JordanPatrick
@JordanPatrick 4 жыл бұрын
WOW that's crazy...I hope no one fell for that marketing gimmick! However neither flag is a square so they were already altering the shape of the flag and the two blue's are different colors as well! It's true the roads/signs/right of ways are totally different here so I'm glad I had to redo everything for my french drivers license because I feel much more comfortable on the roads since then and have been driving around the last couple years. Thanks for your comment!

@Jordan Patrick and Kate hello, Ho very surprised and happy to see you're friends cause I follow Kate since few years now, and didn't know you was friends. Well, I think, sometimes you don't compare good things cause I think for example if you say: Do you prefer French cook or American cook, I'm not sure the answer would be same. Or still, do you prefer French limousin beef or american beef? Not same quality at all between the both I think. Well, I'm nitpicking a bit, but I wouldn't be French if I didn't do it a minimum. :))) I also suggest to you both that maybe you could do a compilation of "bêtisier" with different scenes cut during editing. Not just from a single video, but from all of your videos if you still have the rushes in your possession. Otherwise, I advise you for your next videos to keep them and edit them to offer a compilation to your followers. It's often quite funny. Amitié X2 so :) N.B. : In France, there are two kinds of "pancakes". Sweet "pancakes" (always cooked in butter traditionally and with a pancake pan, you add either sugar, orange blossom, jam, fruit, melted chocolate, pear or apple compote, Chantilly cream, etc.) are called "Crèpes". And in this case for the preparation of the dough, we use white and sifted wheat flour or a mixture of different flours. But on the other hand, for the salty "pancakes" (you add emmental, eggs, crème fraîche, ham, mushrooms, or chicken, various vegetables, etc.) it's the same recipe for the dough, but this time we use buckwheat flour and we don't call them "Crèpes" but "Galettes". By cons, I hate American pizza. For me it's "fast food" with industrial products. I much prefer a real Italian pizza with a thin crust, cooked in a wood oven and including fresh tomatoes, mozarella, etc. But hey, I understand perfectly that for you it's a little "a madeleine of Proust" (I believe that I had already spoken of this typically French expression to Kate in comment under one of her videos) and that your taste of child and the memories it brings back make you prefer this type of pizza. But for me French, it's really what I call "junk food". :)

Be careful: not all mustards are not equal !! If you put some in a sandwich for exemple, an « industrial mustard of Dijon » as « Maille » is great, but if You whant to taste great mustards for salades, or to eat meats then prefer « Edmond Fallot’s grain moustard with White wine » ;-)

@@JordanPatrick I just found out that Grey Poupon was a brand of mustard originally created by two French guys from Dijon France, but the rights to produce it in the US were purchased sometime in the 1940's and the brand was eventually phased out in France in 1970 by the mother company that produces the "moutarde Maille" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_Poupon) I used to see Grey Poupon anywhere at Kroger's or Walmart's in Illinois in the mid 90's to early 2K's .
