This has been a very informative talk. I am a traditional Jew - I converted to Judaism exactly because I believed it was the original religion of the old testament nd of Abraham. I did believe that Christianity was a pagan addition and innnovation- Thank you so much for making me think more deeply on the subject. I think I may have to consider Christianity (and more specifically Orthodox Christianity) more seriously. Please pray for me on my journey.

@@bobsbobbs : Christ returns in the Eschaton, and we are not yet there. Christ Himself told us that before He returns, the Gospel must first be spread to all the nations. In John's Revelation, it has been revealed that the spirit of antichrist must culminate in one final Antichrist. It is part of the pattern endemic to the fallen world. But be assured, He will return in glory and transfigure all of existence. Our time for repentance in now. Turn your heart to the Lord Christ, brother. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Alpha and the Omega. The Power seated at the right hand of the Father. All of Scripture is fulfilled in Him and by Him.

@@bobsbobbs Over 2000 years for Jews, and no messiah (because it was Jesus), no more Jewish prophets (Because Jesus said there would not be), No temple (As Jesus foretold), No more animal sacrifice (because Jesus is the Lamb of God), No more Jewish high priest (because Jesus is the high priest)... The religion is just withering on the vine for no apparent reason... It's time to wake up, like many Jews already have... We also see ancient manuscript evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls that Jews changed some messianic texts in their modern bibles to better fit their narrative. Ancient Jewish texts are more accurate and in better alignment with Christian OT scripture than modern Jewish bibles and predate the basis of the Jewish bible by about 1000 years.

Here is a detailed summary of the key points from the video: The video discusses how Judaism has changed significantly from its ancient origins to the Judaism of today. The presenter argues that contrary to the belief that Judaism has remained unchanged, it has in fact undergone dramatic transformations over time. The video begins by highlighting the continuity between ancient Judaism and Orthodox Christianity. It notes that the liturgical practices, imagery, sacrifice, priesthood, and temple worship found in the Old Testament are all continued in Orthodox Christian tradition, despite being absent in modern Judaism. This suggests that Orthodox Christianity has a stronger claim to the legacy of ancient Judaism compared to contemporary Judaism. The video then traces the evolution of Judaism, noting that even in ancient times, there were diverse sects and schools of thought within Judaism, similar to the diversity found in Christianity. Groups like the Samaritans, Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes had very different interpretations and practices. After the time of Christ, the video argues that the initial followers of Jesus were Jews who saw themselves as continuing the beliefs of the Old Testament, not starting a new religion. However, the Jews who rejected Jesus' divinity and the inclusion of Gentiles without full conversion eventually diverged significantly from the Christian tradition. The video highlights several key events and developments that led to the transformation of Judaism: 1. The destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD by the Romans, which fulfilled Jesus' prophecy and led to the diaspora of the Jewish people. 2. The compilation of the Talmud in the 3rd-6th centuries AD, which became the authoritative text for interpreting the Torah, rather than the Torah itself. The Talmud introduced many new laws and practices not found in the original scriptures. 3. The rise of iconoclasm in Judaism, rejecting the use of imagery and icons that were present in ancient Jewish worship. 4. The rejection of the concept of God entering creation and taking human form, which is central to Christian theology. The video argues that these developments led Judaism to diverge significantly from its ancient roots, which are better preserved in the liturgy, theology, and practices of Orthodox Christianity. It suggests that the similarities between modern Judaism and Islam, in terms of their emphasis on strict legal interpretations and rejection of Christian doctrines, further highlight the distance between contemporary Judaism and its ancient foundations. The presenter concludes by stating that the true continuity with ancient Judaism lies with Orthodox Christianity, and that for Jews to reconnect with their roots, they would need to convert to Christianity, which the presenter acknowledges is not a call for immediate action, but rather a theological argument. The Law of Moses was actually not Judaism, as Moses was not a Jew, neither were the Israelites. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were also not Jews. The religion of the Pharisees which originated after the Babylonian captivity is early Judaism -- which Christ condemned. Rabbinic Judaism was concocted much later as a rebuttal to Christianity. You're spot on except(!) from the use of the word "Judaism."

God dwells in the Eucharist itself. The Liturgy is a reflection of the ceremonial services from the tabernacle, through to the Temple, through to the era of the Book of Acts and forward. The Eucharist is the bloodless sacrifice, the altar is like the seat on the Ark, and our priests fulfill and continue the role of the Levitical priests of the OT

@@Jeem196 I want to point out that Rabbinic Judaism itself is a literal hell to understand. There's no order in Rabbinic Judaism, everyone has different opinions and it is Rabbi against Rabbi. Sometimes there aren't even any answers to basic questions. When I read certain things from Rabbinic Sources that kind of proved Christianity, I ignored them. Rabbinic Judaism does everything in its power to stop Christianity. It's funny how early rabbinic sources agree with Christianity but after the rise of many popular Rabbis such as the RaMBaM and many other Judaism changes. I myself was debating Christians and I could tell you, I couldn't defend what I believed. I cited Rabbinic Sources instead of arguing from the Torah. Rabbinic Jews use Rabbinic Sources when debating, but Christians don't. The people I debated even cited Rabbinic Sources to prove Christianity which blew me away at the time. It's interesting to see that many early Rabbinic Sources have traces that link to Christianity.

Given the Council of Jerusalem in Acts decided that Gentiles only have to follow the moral law aspects of the Mosaic Law and not the ceremonial and other aspects, what does the Orthodox Church say a Jew has to do if they convert to Orthodox Christianity today? Do they act like the Gentiles, or do they continue to follow the other aspects too? From what I've seen it seems to be the former. If this is the case, why?

I’m fairly certain Rabbinic Jews receive no special treatment and are expected to live like all Orthodox Christians do, not following the old covenant. Rabbinic Judaism is not the Judaism of the Bible or the Judaism of Christ and the Apostles time so the Talmudic laws aren’t what was being referred to by the Apostles. The Talmud is a forgery created hundreds of years after Christ. The Samaritans, Karaites, Beta Israelites, Sadducees, and Essenes, literally every other Jewish group rejects the Talmud as a forgery.

Love your insights, but have a suggestion. You’re about “truth”. Avoiding mere opinions, unless you note them as such, will help establish the difference. The opinion about the western wall (thus the mosque as well) not being the site of the temple is not fact, but opinion. Much Jewish argumentation is promoting the City of David as the authentic site. Many, wanting a site to build a 3rd temple without disturbing the mosque , are motivated to that conclusion. Most archeologists push back on that based on excavation finds from under the mosque. You have your opinion. That’s OK, just not stated as undisputed fact. I see no problem with Christ’s words about no stone being left upon another related to the western wall, even if the Temple Mount is authentic. It was a retaining wall for the platform. No one can claim that Christ’s words about the temple building have anything to do with a non-temple building wall. Keep up the good work.

The Talmud has 2,711 folios, or 5,422 pages. It is not recited but studied by some Jews in a program called "Daf Yomi" /דף יומי/"the daily page" and takes seven **years** to complete. The Torah itself is completed annually, with a portion read in synagogue each Sabbath. The reading cycle begins at the conclusion of the holiday season in late fall, i.e. Rosh Hashanah (New Year), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Succot (Feast of Tabernacles).

Names are just names. The religion of the old testament wasn't called Judaism till after the division of the kingdom. And after the Messiah came, the the people who follow him didn't choose a name but rather the people who observed them chose a name to call this movement... The people who joined the body of Christ were called Christians, then after the schisms names messed up even more. The papist on the west wouldn't never call the Christians of the East as Orthodox because it is admitting they have the truth, and the Christians of the East wouldn't never call the papist as Catholics because it would affirming their catholicity and communion with the Church they've departed from. But eventually things happen and we ended up with this confusion. But we're in the age of information, search about it. God bless

Excellent video that covers many good points. The Jewish Temple worship ended with the destruction of the second temple in AD 70. Judaism is therefore effectively dead, but is continued in the Orthodox liturgy. Jesus said “I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them." As such Orthodox Christianity is the fulfilment and continuation of the Judaic temple worship and the levitical priesthood. The fact that it is now available to Gentiles is because this is always what was intended. We are all now children of Abraham in spirit. The comments on the Jewish Talmud were informative for me, I did not realise that the Talmud formed the basis of rabbinical Judaism, I can see the similarity with Islamic Hadith. Lord save us.

Im also LDS, and trying to become orthodox. I feel like Satan is trying to prevent people from becoming Orthodox by using Judaism to confuse us. Judaism uses "solid logic" in their debates, and that can make people second guess Christianity in general. I know, cause a couple weeks ago I was also second guessing, but if we want to know the truth, we should study results that have come from Judaism and Christian churches. Look up the lives of the early orthodox father's and modern Saints like St Paithios among others, and read what they were capable of doing. No Rabbi, mormon "prophet", Pope or any church has the results that we can find in Orthodoxy.

Very interesting video. If I had to chose between all christians denominations, I'd surely chose orthodox christianity. But I can't believe in the Trinity. I have tried to understand it, but it never resonates true within me. When God says in the OT :" I am the Eternal one and there is no savior besides me" I can't imagine that it is a trinity speaking. Even Jesus in the NT refers multiple times to His God ("I am going to ascend to your God, and MY GOD). Why would He say that if he was God ? I have to add that your argument about God entering creation didn't convice me. God can enter creation whenever and wherever He wants, that doesn't implie that He is a man. For me he dwelled upon the ark of the covenant in his pure essence of holiness. I agree that Talmudic judaism has changed the original faith of the hebrews. However I can't see any continuity within orthodox Christianity either knowing that they believe in Trinity and incarnation when the central aspect of the hebraic faith was the unity and non-human form of God.

In addition you say there is no imagery in Judaism today. When was the last time you were in an Orthodox Synagogue? No images of God are allowed, and even the Ark of the covenant was never worshipped. And to clarify there is a public reading of the bible thrice weekly, there is no law like this for the Talmud. You've misunderstood the Daf Yomi program. You can always Google it. All in all a poor video with many basic errors and misunderstandings.

At 0:18 and already you’re making the first of many errors in this video. Moses didn’t practice Judaism. Judaism didn’t yet exist at the time of Moses, since Neviim and Ketuvim hadn’t even been written, and without those there is no Jewish Hebrew Bible, aka the TaNaKH. Judaism is but one of the many extinct and extant immediate descendants of monotheistic Israelite Yahweism religion which worshipped and recognized the existence of only Yahweh, which itself descended from monolatristic Yahweism which recognized the other Canaanite gods’ existence but reserved worship only for Yahweh, which in turn was a descendant of Israelite form of Canaanite polytheism where Yahweh was worshipped with the other gods. Let us remember that the Israelites were but a subgroup of Canaanites, despite what the Bible says. Hebrew is a Canaanite language and the practices and culture of the earliest Israelites was indistinguishable from other Canaanites. Ancient DNA comparison of Canaanite burial samples show their DNA was similar to that of their Israelite contemporaries, and that the various Jewish communities of today also share that ancient Canaanite/Israelite genetic profile (along with Palestinians who are the culturally Arabized and religiously Christianised or Islamized descendants of Israelites of both the Jewish and Samaritan groups). Moses certainly practiced the Israelite religion, but it wasn’t yet Judaism. Samaritanism is also its own descendant of the early Israelite monotheistic religion of Yahweism, diverging at the time of the first Israelite exile from what later became Judaism. There are two opinions as to the evolution of Christianity. The most accepted by scholars is that Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism. A minority opinion is that Christianity is a parallel apocalyptic descendant of late Israelite monotheistic Yahweism, closest to Judaism but not descended from it. So, at most, Judaism and Samaritanism are sister religions and both daughter religions of Yahwehism, while Christianity is a daughter religion of Judaism. Or, Judaism, Samaritanism, and Christianity are all daughter religions of Yahweism. Either way, Moses didn’t practice Judaism, nor did Abraham, Isaac, nor Jacob. Judaism and Samaritanism are what became of their religion. Christianity too, maybe, if it’s not a descendant of Judaism, but evolved parallel to Judaism. As for Islam, it is not a descendant of Yahweism, nor of Judaism, nor of Christianity. Islam is instead an independent fusion of some aspect of Judaism, some of aspects of Christianity, and some aspects of Arabian paganism. Yahweism is a national deity-based religion serving as system of law through cult for the Ancient Israelite nation, not yet messianic. Samaritanism is also not messianic. Judaism is messianic. Christianity is messianic (but with a different concept of a messiah than Judaism) and apocalyptic. Islam in turn has yet another concept of messiah which is different to both Judaism and also different from Christianity’s.

@dsp6373
@dsp6373 4 ай бұрын
@@y.l7455 Samaritanism later developed a figure called the Taheb, not quite the same thing as the Messiah of Judaism. The word Taheb itself isn’t even the same or of the same etymology as Messiah in Hebrew (Mashiach) which at least Christianity and Islam share with Judaism even though their concept of messiah are different from Judaism. During the apocalypse, called "the day of vengeance" in Samaritanism, there will be the end of days, when the Taheb from the tribe of Joseph will come. Note, he is not from the tribe of Judah, as held by Judaism and Christianity (because Christianity accepts the Hebrew Bible in whole). On the other hand, Islam doesn’t assign the Messiah (who they believe was Jesus) as being from any specific Israelite tribe, just that the Messiah is a member of Bani Isra’il. Jesus’ role in Islam is that of a prophet. In fact, Islam holds that Jesus isn’t of the Davidic line (which is a requirement of Judaism paternally from a human blood father, and Christianity which assigns it via Mary which goes against Israelite law of lineage, but that’s another issue). Islam doesn’t consider Jesus’ human fatherless conception (and thus lack of a paternal lineage) as being a problem or of any importance because Islam doesn’t accept the Hebrew Bible’s requirement of patrilineal descent of the Messiah from King David and from the tribe of Judah, in the way Judaism requires it, or Christianity ostensibly claims to require it (yet defectively attempts to attribute that required paternal lineage via the mother rather than the non existent human father). Thus, the claimed virgin birth of Jesus is accepted by Christianity and Islam, but it is only a problem for Christianity (since tribal affiliation isn’t passed on by mothers under Israelite law), not Islam. By contrast, Judaism holds the messiah will be conceived sexually, will thus not be born of a virgin, rather from a young female not an old female, he will only be human and in no way divine, and he will have a human genetic blood father and mother. Anyway, I digress. The Taheb will come, be a prophet akin to Moses (not like Jesus), he will not be an anointed king, but he will around for 40 years and bring about the return of all the Israelites to the land of Israel (not just Samaritans or Jews, but all Israelites), following which the dead will be resurrected. So no, the Samaritans don’t have a Messiah, an anointed figure, a king. Messiah means anointed in Hebrew. The Taheb will be a prophet, not a messiah.

I am a orthodox jew and there is many wrong things in this video. First, yes, there was imagery in the tabernacle and the Temple but that imagery was clearly, CLEARLY, not even close to orthodox christian imagery(i live in a orthodox christian nation so i know alot about it), imagery in the Temple and tabernacle was of palms and pomegranate trees and fruits because it has a rich symbolic meaning in the Torah, there were two cherubim in the Holy of Holies that was cammanded BY G-D Second levitical priesthood. According to the Torah only, ONLY, descendands of Aaron can be priests if they are Cohanim. Third the fact that you say that we forgot the liturgy from the old testament is wrong, we yearn for the liturgy but we can only do it in the Temple and its not allowed to sacrifice or hold the Temple liturgy outside of the Temple. Circumcision is a comandment given BY G-D for everyone(males) who believe in Him. About the theory that western wall being the wall of a roman fortress is wrong because the walls of the temple mount have the same dimensions as the trmple mount since the time of king Herod. I truly domt know where you get these things from but still read the bible in its original language before going and accusing Jews of changing the Torah Talmud is not where we get our laws from its a book of interpretation of laws from the Torah by many many rabbis. Outrageous, please contact rabbi Tovia Singer, and have a debate, it would be ineresting.

In theTorah it is commanded, Deuteronomy 10:16 yet this commandment is not in the rabinnic judaic religion their mitzvah Further in the same book Deuteronomy 30: 6 is the prophesy of what will happen pointing towards Christ . Diocletianic Persecution was the thrust to nationalise the religion and silence the truth. Did the rabinnic judaism pervert their own scriptures so they could practise without being persecuted? That didnt help as the nationalized religion discovered the issue of the deniers of Christ, and todays politics, again revolving around the truth within scriptures, is being seen and Judaism itself is being nationalised via Zionism. Ezekiel 28:17 Know who the adversary is, it is written in the scriptures, and even those that believe they are righteous can be animated by a spirit within the elohim, to spread lies. I don't think you understand the fundamental question, "Who follows the Bible ...". The bible is a code of law, with some stories included. It supplies the Jewish Religion with the foundation for jurisprudence, so their religious courts can discern the appropriate way to go, for the civilization. Christianity, meanwhile, is lawless. The law is exoteric material. Theology of Judaism is esoteric. They get it from other sources because the Torah is designed for the code of law, not theology.

Balaam was not a Jew and would not speak against the Israelites yet he had the authority to speak as a prophet, today there are prophets who have had true theophanies and glorious revelations, who would never deny Israel's right in fact they would endorse Israel and the people in Israel as the *Children of God* Christians are envious of Jewish salvation, thinking that Jews have to convert to Christianity but they don't, Christianity came about because one enlightened man and the generation he grew up in knew they had to expand the ability of God to create *a superhighway for souls* that the Children of God would come to God in the arms of *KINGS who would be their foster fathers, and Queen's who would be their Nursing mothers* as recorded in Isaiah 49, which also records Israel as *You are my servant Israel in whom I shall be Glorified* The new Testament states that Jesus Christ identified Elijah in John the Baptist and John the Baptist identified Israel redivivus in Jesus (the lamb of God) where he said _John answered them, “I baptize with water; but among you stands one whom you do not know, 27 _*_even he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.” 28_*_ This took place in Bethany_ John the Baptist therefore states that he recognised Jesus as Israel when he was present in Elijah, even though Israel lived 1200 years before him, as confirmed by Isaiah salvation of the Jews is *The preserved of Jacob are redeemed in Israel* The Old Testament provides reincarnation as a mean of Redemption. _Zechariah 13:9 And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will _ The New Testament also states that a person has opportunities to be reborn *but a time comes when they can no longer die anymore, but must become children of God* celestial beings and then be judged. As Christians they must have the Jewish spiritual blood for transformation which Jesus Christ gives. Luke 20:36 _36 for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection._ The following text of Luke (37) confirms the salvation which the Jews enjoyed from Moses. The New Testament was written by dedicated Jews who were including the family if Abraham in the lineage of Jesus but they also revered King David as Jesus ancestry and the Christian Church has avoided any belief in reincarnation as a pathway to Resurrection and Ascension because to understand that subject in the light of Scripture brings the believer directly ti the knowledge that Jesus and (Jacob) are Israel. Judgement for an Israelite and a Christian are the same they must stand before the Divine Word of God and hear his testimony of salvation which is Revelation, jesus does not take part in Judgement nor does Almighty God, because a person could not bear it. *Jesus Christ does not Judge* John 8:15 _You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one._ John 8:50 _Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it and he will be the judge._ John 12:47 _If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world._ John 5:221-23 _21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. 22 _*_The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honour the Son,_*_ even as they honour the Father. He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him._ It is a great honour to be judged and confirms that we have had multiple opportunities for rebirth but we are now at *the end of the world* in the presence of a personage of overwhelming purity a purity that confirms in us how far removed we are from Him who has to deal with us. Like Job He asks *who are you to stand before me* and *are you great? Only the great can pass me by* This can happen in this life or after it. After a length of time in which you are left with the wrath of God on you, you may be allowed to see God the Father but you see him in Jesus Christ You see the glory of God in Him, this is called the *Beatific Vision.* This can cause concern in the soul, because the Christian religion states that Jesus is the Judge this is not true, but he can *pray the spirit for us* the Son who is the Spirit of Truth and Divine Word manifests himself as a *Glittering great two edged Sword* this is not Jesus but Jesus Christ in the Beatific Vision is ALSO Israel. Judgement is a non-trinitarian event

I disagree. The Talmud is a centuries-later analytical interpretation of the Torah which, like the Tafsir and Hadith of Islam, determines how you interpret the original Torah text. Since Christians do not possess these books, our interpretations are considerably different. The Talmudic interpretations are based entirely on Pharisaical Judaism, which became Rabbinic Judaism. The Judaism Christ preached was Torah Puritanism, not Rabbinic Tradition. Mark Chapter 7 is not about pork, but about Rabbis adding tradition on *top* of the Law of Moses, as He references in Isaiah. The entire NT is about debunking the Rabbinic Tradition. 90% of people miss that.
