Finally Unbelievable is trying to veer back to it's roots. There is more than Christians and Atheists/ Materialists in the world. When you truly get to know and love the diversity of humanity, you come to understand that a truly moral God would wish us to stop fighting over 'stories' about God...and start loving each other unconditionally. xoxo You're back on the right path Justin....now stay there please.
@Vigula6 жыл бұрын
'a truly moral God'??? - An opinion masquerading as truth - where do you get your 'moral' value from? From people, from yourself? It seems like you're an advocate for the religion of Plato Bird. What gives you the authority. or anyone else for that matter, to say what is right or wrong? Is it like the 'Rabbi' in this clip who claims it's all down to each individual? Clearly a self-refuting argument if ever there was one. I appreciate the 'loving each other unconditionally message' but you only have that because of Jesus Christ and his one true church. Forgive me if I sound annoyed but can you blame me? Best regards, Adam
@TheSaffronasha6 жыл бұрын
Where do I get my morals from? I am a conscious being who has empathy for others. So I make my decisions about what is moral based on my ability to reason and to seek love and unity....vs hate and disunity. It's not really that complicated Adam, or wouldn't be, if people actually used their free wisely. Step one, no one should choose to make false idols out of ancient books.

The rabbi could have phrased it better, and I'm going to try and phrase it better here: Of course accepting almost any faith is accepting that miracles happen. At least two resurrections happen in the Book of Kings (1 Kings 17:21-22, 2 Kings 4:32). The resurrection was never a requirement for the messiah, otherwise, those two random children from the Book of Kings would both be messiahs. Despite these passages, special weight is placed on the resurrection of Jesus in Christianity, as if it somehow overthrows Isaiah 2, and establishes a new criteria for being the messiah!

I would imagine many Jews being quite surprised hearing a 'rabbi' say we dont know if Abraham even existed or if the exodus really happened, it doesnt matter! How odd. Yet the same one says he doesnt believe Jesus is the Jewish Messiah because he didnt bring world peace. Seems he'll believe some things if he can use them to argue against Jesus. You make lots of assertions , naturally without a shred of evidence, that God has always been there, he loves everyone etc and this apparent "love" is despite watching on whilst millions of people will die from terrible diseases, famine, tsunamis, holocaust, genocide and the rape and murder of children and may I point out that as he is omnisicient thus knows in ADVANCE that the little 5 year old will be snatched from her distraught parents and then unthinkable things done to her. Now where was HER free will exactly ? The fact that this stuff happens daily cast doubt on a benevolent god existing and "any god that doesnt manifest in any detectable way is indistinguishable from one that doesnt exist" Again it is much more coherent as to me the real explanation of non existence, and furthermore means I don't have to do what you do, which is tap dance and try and explain away the inexplicable.

@pop3stealth974 жыл бұрын
R Tee Jesus' promise here is not that all who claim to be believers will be endowed with the power to raise the dead or transmute matter. Nor does Jesus mean to imply that future Christians would have widespread supernatural powers. The following verses include two crucial qualifiers: "asking" and "in My name," clearly indicating that God does not sign a blank check for miraculous power to anyone. In part, this prediction of "works" refers to the early days of the apostles, who were granted miraculous signs (Acts 3:1-6). The idea that anyone could do "greater" works than Jesus also helps explain the context. Scripture not only associates Jesus with miracles in the Gospels, it credits Him with creation itself (John 1:1-3). In terms of power, it's logically impossible to suggest anyone could do something beyond what Jesus accomplished. The meaning, therefore, ought to be taken in some other way. The area where Christians can exceed what Jesus did is not "quality," but "quantity." His earthly ministry lasted only about three years-as He says here, He is soon to end this phase of God's plan. Jesus preached without modern communications, or modern travel technology. In contrast, modern evangelists can spend decades preaching to hundreds of thousands of people. Missionaries can serve the furthest reaches of the globe. As of this writing, this website is accessed by more people every week than lived in Jerusalem during Jesus' era. In a year, some bible-related websites speak to more people than populated the Roman Empire in the first century. Does this answer your question? Now can you come to Christ and accept him as your lord and savior. 🙏🏾

It definitely takes work to deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Christ. We can never have any other salvation but through Christ, His finished works, and His mercy on us. To live a changed new life in the Spirit. Walk in the Spirit to not fulfill the deeds of the flesh.. It's common sense honestly to be appreciative and live your life the best you can for the one who saved your life.

@@willhaynes3505 - 🔴My dear, the confusion is, you have *2 types of works:* #1. Works by which "you" initiate. Such as, you follow a code, or laws, or a formula to be in right standing with God. And, #2. Works by which "the Holy Spirit in your heart" initiates. You are moved, the Spirit of Grace speaks to your conscience as to what to do and not do. . . So, that is the difference 🙂 #1. Will not save you. Paul refers it to being "under the law." And #2. Is you surrendering your heart first to Jesus to receive the Holy Spirit to guide you. When you "walk" with the Spirit, you are saved and will be saved (if you continue). *If you refuse to walk with the Spirit, follow its dictates on your conscience and obey the commandments of Christ, then like what Dr. Brown and all Catholic Orthodoxy persuasion teach - you will not be saved.* ☝🏽 I agree. Abel did exactly the same thing and God accepted his offering. " eternal life .. salvation from condemnation for sin - only comes by grace (free gift) through faith (trust) and not of works" You're directly contradicting what Jesus says in Mark 10, Matthew 19 and Luke 18. So, check this out. Now, I was never a church goer until after my live encounter with Jesus in 2016. I received the Holy Spirit that God gave me. Since then, the Holy Spirit literally prompts me when people need help or when God has a word for them. I used to be a mean and selfish person. When the Rabbi talks about social justice and helping out my neighbors, I found out that I couldn't do that in my strength but by God's Spirit. For example; in 2018, my wife and worked at the same place but this day she came in and hour later. She asked me if I needed anything from Chick-fil-A. So I asked for a BEC biscuit. When she got to work, she left the bag on her desk and she was out doing her job. I grabbed the bag and went to work in a ballroom. As my coworker and I left the room, the Holy Spirit told me to give my food to the house keeper who was pushing a large rolling garbage can. But the Holy Spirit then prompted me, "You have to ask him twice and when when you do, look him in the eyes and say again, 'Jeremy, are you hungry.'" Then, my coworker and I followed Jeremy to the break room where he began emptying out the trash can. Then, I asked Jeremy, "Jeremy, are you hungry?" And he said no at first. Then, I did EXACTLY what the Holy Spirit said, and looked Jeremy in the eyes and asked, "Jeremy, are you hungry?" And then he turned around and looked at me and said, "Yes, I dropped my Cheerios allover the living room in my house and I had to leave to go to work. I am very hungry. Thank you so much." I told him that God told me to give him the BEC biscuit. Praise the LORD! I never had a change of heart until I believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus is the Messiah and King of the Jews, King of King's! I also received the Holy Spirit when I believed that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
@Tzone022 жыл бұрын
How do you know your brain didn’t subconsciously pick up clues that the coworker was hungry? More than likely it was your subconscious brain telling you to give him the food, rather than some miraculous Holy Spirit.
@robertvanwijmeren26852 жыл бұрын
@@Tzone02 the reason why I knew it wasn't me was because I had plans of eating the biscuit myself and the fact the Holy Spirit told me to ask him twice and exactly what to say. The response of Jeremy, the house keeper, was on point when he confirmed that he spilled all his Cheerios on the floor and that he was really upset at not being able to eat breakfast. This is just one story of many! Recently I was told to preach on a day that I had no desire to preach and the Spirit made me not forget the speaker. The Spirit also showed me who to look for, female and one of the two blond hair twins was female. The Spirit also told me not to leave until midnight. Low and behold, met a man who walk one hundred feet past me at midnight and he had a blonde hair twin who had cerebral palsy and was immobilized and confined in a wheelchair. The man was so upset he said, "How could God do this to my daughter", and "how could God do this to our daughter?" If it wasn't for me being at the spot that day with my microphone and at midnight, I would have missed him. He was so baffled that his jaw dropped. I was able to comfort the man by letting him know that God was, in fact, with him. (I gave you the very short version). While I am not led specifically to do things like this everyday, I do them only when prompted to here and there.

Most people today, especially literalists and fundamentalists of every variety, including Chasidism and Orthodox Judaism, completely misunderstand and misinterpret all religious texts and the point and purpose of religion. Chasidism is heavily influenced by Romanized theology, which is why it’s so fundamentally absurd and takes a literalist approach to scripture. I think that speaks volumns* 🤔 *and, it convinces me that there are alot more things about Jesus (who he is) than what is claimed.* *Note: As well, the most hospitals in the world, the acts of charity, and transformations of people's lives are done through the NAME of Jesus !* Regards
