He got those two 1st and 2nd two times in a row, it's fucking sad what modern bodybuilding judging has become. Even Samson Dauda, who is touted as an aesthetic god is full of SEOs. The best overall arms in terms of biceps AND triceps is Phil Heath . Just unbelievable development in both

I was surprised when you also ranked him high, because when you do know the names, I don’t know to me he’s just not who you think of for arms. At least I do actually like his physique general but I never thought of him as a great person until now. The symmetry is insane, and the separation between the bicep and tricep is so clean and the muscle belly is so full and round I don’t envy your job trying to decide as well as the photoshop work though well done!

First off, thanks Marx for putting so much effort in this vid. 2nd: Wow, this video is truly eye-opening. While some of these arms don't look that great on an entire body, taken out of context just by themselves, all the Mr.Os had great arms. If I didn't know how the rest of his body looked, I'd say even Dorian had amazing arms. Bodybuilding truly is about symmetry, proportion and then size/conditioning.

@timjones733610 ай бұрын
Too many bodybuilders skip head day. Like calves, head size doesn’t seem to matter anymore
@lesnuitssanskimwilde798610 ай бұрын
Good comment. Shoulders to head ratio or height to head ratio actually really matters. It's usually the downfall of short bodybuilders who have a head too big. Benfatto for example has fantastic arms and very good proportions but his head looks way too big. On the opposite you have sergio oliva, very good shoulders width and arms and a small head.
@gameurai570110 ай бұрын
A small head size is a good trait to have imo. Take a look at Krizo vs Labrada for instance lol, it can also be a sign of health (low HGH/insulin dosage). Dillet had an absolutely tiny head back in the day, Shawn Ray, Flex Wheeler too. Ronnie's head was also tiny for his size. Lifting weights isn't going to increase your skull size, so it's a given that if somebody reaches modern size standards, if he's not using high dose GH that his head is going to appear small proportionally (same for hands and feet). It's been like that since the early 90s and then went away during the mass monster era.
@lesnuitssanskimwilde798610 ай бұрын
@@gameurai5701 I doubt GH considerably enlarges skull size. It's genetic above all. Lee labrada sr had a really big head in comparison with it's shoulders width and height. Coleman was certainly using GH and so is probably krizo.
@gameurai570110 ай бұрын
@@lesnuitssanskimwilde7986 Genetics always play a role, but some bodybuilders get acromegaly from GH even if they had a normal bone structure. Look at Samson Dauda 2-3 years ago and compare him to now, his skull got enermous from all sides including the cranium and his nose width nearly doubled too, hell even Krizo said he likes everything about him except his face and he's no model either, he really got injected with the ugly stick courtesy of Milos Sarcev with his crazy insulin protocol, something similar happened to Rafael Brandao too, mostly in the nose though. Dorian is another example, he used to look like a Handsome Squidward in 92, in 93 he looked like an entirely different person because of how wide his cheeks have become. And yeah, the Labradas are Labradas, GH isn't why they got such huge heads. Like father, like son - nice bodybuilders, but naturally thick-head. In both cases, there's no acromegaly to be seen.

Really impressed by the effort here, but the judging is all over the place. After the front double, the judging slid downhill and quick. Bradnon's way to high in the side chest arm pose. Phil Heath's arm destroys Brandon's in the side because he's so much better separated. If you look closely, Phil has cross straitions on his bicep in the side chest. His forearm blows Brandon's out of the water as well in all regards. Several others beat Brandon Curry there as well. Lee Haney had no business being 3rd in the side tricep. His arm is so much smaller than everyone else's, and he's more in place around 9th in this callout due primarily to conditioning. In the back double, the bias is also showing. Arnold isn't anywhere near first. His forearms, shoulder, and triceps simply aren't up to par. You mention his tricep sweep matching Ronnie's for instance. You have Arnold's fist being over twice the size of Ronnie's here, so of course Arnold's arm looks big. Phil Heath's arm has the best shoulder in the back double with the best separation between muscles. He also has the best forearm by a country mile. He wins the back double arm pose. Most muscular is crazy too. Phil wins. Why not compare their hand clasped most musculars arms? Look at Phil's arms in the standing clasped. They dwarf Ronnie's. I don't know Marx. There's some serious jurry rigging going on here to put Ronnie at the top. Ronnie's definitely in the top 15 best arms ever, but he's not top 3. Phil is always in that discussion with Roelly and Lee Priest. Realistically, if you include conditioning, Phil's arms have cross striations on his tricep and bicep, and his radiobrachialis is the best ever by far.
