no it's not, you're just not looking into it enough. He doesn't have a wide waist and doesn't have distention which at 1st look makes him look pretty aesthetic from afar and in a line up. Until you take a closer look at start to break it down, that is. Just like the other person pointed out

What about the symmetry, detail, small waist compared to some of those above him. Although he has high lats, they ain’t that high to where it’s the biggest problem. I’m not saying he’s top 5 but I just thought he was placed way lower than deserved. In my opinion

Another fun video. Personally, my favorite torsos in the FBD are Oliva, Lunsford (minus the lat injections), Ramy and Samir - basically all over the place.FLS I kinda agree with Marx. Curry, Dorian, Samir and Dexter for the Ab&Thigh. I think the back shots are not really representative without the shoulders, so I ignored them. It's interesting to see that most of us are like that too: Comparing mass monsters, classic physiques, aesthetic bodybuilders and 90s directly and competitively with each other, but part of it is scaling, and part of it is aesthetics. It's basically a lat to waist competition with the most aesthetic abs and pecs.

Unless his lats are smaller than I remember from the front. But abs and thigh top three, front double and front lay spread top 6 I would wager.

Marx, Problem is the metric you are using is 90s 2000s era judging criteria. If you subjective look guys like Kevin Levrone, Flex Wheeler, Dexter have the best torsos because they dont have many weakeness in side chest, abs, rear or front poses. Ronnie was a mess up front some years with preggo tummy. Dorian one year came in soft and from front looks average minus lats.

Before I watch this video I say this: It’s all about broad rib cage. But to broad rib cage is not optimal in bodybuilding becouse then in the front lat spread pose the lats are almost invisible. Best example for this problem was Victor Martínez.

Great comparison! But it's a bit of a shame that you only included the Mr. Olympia winners. Instead of Larry Scott and many others, it would have made sense to include Andrew Jacked, as well as Andrea Presti (!) and Brian Buchanan (!!) ! In my opinion, each of them belongs to the top 10 and would have easily defeated Jay Cutler. Brian Buchanan may be Nr.1.

I think Coleman is over-rated. He came into the inception of the mass monster and won a few on size alone. Yes, his back is unmistakably one of the best ever, but the proportions are sometimes all over the place and his front torso was lacking hard.

Derek's long torso isn't ideal Biggest "torso" shot is the front doube bi and rear double bi. Short Torso proportions are better than long Torso's for bb'ing. Something a liitte lost in this video. You want a short torso and low lat insertions. Arnie, Ronnie and Haney, that's the real top 3. We all know what real life looks like between a 5'6 man and a 5'11 man. That's also not shown in these torso pics. If you want a short guy with a great torso, he MASSIVELY underrated Samir Bannout. For my money, it's about as good as it gets. His waist could be a little smaller, but it does give him a sense of power as his waist certainly isn't big. That along with his square shaped abs, pecs and shoulder girdle makes for a strong looking overall presentation. His back double is equally or more amazing. His tere's muscles have that nice round hourglass shape. Much like Ronnie and Haney. Arnold lacked this, as did Dorian for that matter.
