The lakers 1969 loss was completely outside of Wilts control. In the final minutes of a game his coach refused to put him in which ultimately cost them the game and I'm pretty sure he broke his knee this season? Wilt has never in his career played with more hof in thier primes then russel in the same season and yet he was able to overcome russel in 1967 which I argue was his greatest season. Steph Curry's record breaking season at 2015-2016 is more of a revolutionary season. I am a big Curry fan but this season is not the best ever because of the 3-1 flop. It would be the best ever if not for the finals. But hey, he'd definitely up there and earn everyone's respect and remake the course of NBA scouting and drafting forever.

@@stephenharris931 Wilt played every minute of every game, took every single shot, and within a league that had an extremely high pace. His game was incredibly selfish, he didn't elevate his teammates with his ridiculously high scoring volume, and that was reflected for most of his career in that he could never get over the hump. As for Curry, his ability to play next to other great players and elevate them as a ceiling raiser is much more valuable than Wilt’s floor-raising, heliocentric method. Sheer volume doesn't equate to effectiveness. It's the idea of quality over quantity, the same reason Curry is better than players like Harden and Westbrook.
