2 words. Andy Reid. The guy was an older coach, but an extremely good coach who had coached really good teams. Same went for Bill. Look how both of them ended up with the right team and right QB. No one ever seems to point this out. So, for those who want the young up and coming coach with no experience, id bring these 2 up. Bill made 25 million because of years of service and the amount of work he did towards the end there. He did much more than just a head coaching role. He was GM, head coach, DC and good only knows what else. When he left, it creates so many holes in the organization that justified the pay the man got. So everyone needs to put thing in context with Bill's pay. The man deserved the pay for the work he was doing, he put in and the years he gave the organization.

Not sure if these guys are reading this but here we go: The reason why the Krafts skip process is because they know the talking heads on the radio, in print and on television will skewer them at every turn and second guess decision and 'what if' the franchise to death if they make unpopular choices. As a result, the fans of the team are propagandized against the franchise and echo the insipid 'hot takes' of unknowledgeable shock jocks. The Krafts have never 'ignored the noise' and the press is now driving organizational decisions.

Offense is easier to rebuild because we got the QB. An oline will make this an serviceable offense. For the defense you need to filter guys that don't work for your scheme(not everyone use Bill type guys ie hybrids), get depth and young starters. Not to mention Baramore and Peppers situation can set the D back.
@ZackaryJoubert10 күн бұрын
Serviceable!? The team will be legit. Offense and defense as soon as they get an oline
@mrow75987 күн бұрын
Peppers already got his suspension and he was found not guilty on the assault charges. Peppers should be fine as long as he doesn't have to do time for the drugs. Baramore I would say has a 80% or higher chance of starting next year. My question is Bentely and Andrews.

What being 50 makes a difference? At 50 years old, I was working land clearing. And I was out working the 20 something guys. Experience was the main thing that made me a better worker. So being 50 is nothing. This just means he can be woth us for a decade or more. I smell another Dynasty!!!
@garyedwardgray754911 күн бұрын
Gotta be the defense on the easier rebuild. Why? Simple… they’re likely not as bad as they appeared. They were good two years ago and had nearly the same roster last season. Injuries hurt, but I think it was mostly coaching. I’m certainly not being delusional. They sucked and, yes, there are definitely some holes. So… yeah… no delusions… I’m not suggesting they’re great and it’ll be like magic with the new coaches. No, absolutely not. We need some additional pieces. BUT… all I’m saying is they’re not as bad as they showed and they need fewer pieces than does the offense. The only reason is may be a LITTLE difficult to fill in those holes is because you need to spend so much of the cap space and draft picks on filling the Swiss cheese offense. BECAUSE the D is in a better spot, it may not get the attention it needs. Other than that? Yeah, the D has a much easier rebound.

I would rather not trade a high draft pick for a WE. This team needs to fill so many positions.
@eriks.uperpatriot58179 күн бұрын
You pay those premium positions like QB, #1 CB & Edge & LT, but you have to draft well at the other positions. So you can have the money to pay those premium positions. Pats haven’t done that.

I don’t care what the Krafts think. I care if Vrabel chose McDaniels not the Krafts. We want football people running the football team not ownership. We don’t want a Jerry Jones situation here.
@tuckerconley34629 күн бұрын
The defense is the easier rebuild. It could have been much better last year if we had more disipline and coaching. For 5-6 years, the Patriots haven't been able to find elite, blue-chip top of the league players on offense. As we all know, we can't draft WR's for beans. Randy Moss might be the last good WR we traded for.
@josepha.131511 күн бұрын
Offense is easier. The run defense and pass rush may have been the biggest weakness of the team last year as much as people wanted to say o line. Coverage overall wasn't great either outside of Gonzalez. Offense with a better o line and one more weapon improves immediately. Hoping they can get Abdul Carter in the draft but had to be stupid and win their last game
@eriks.uperpatriot58179 күн бұрын
You guys still don’t understand how QB starved teams are. Cam Ward & Shadduer Sanders will be drafted in the top 6 & Ward most likely goes #1 to either the Titans or whoever they trade out with. #6 is the latest he’s going & if the Raiders are paranoid. They may trade up to get Sanders.

The Colts drafted a guard with the sixth pick. Quinton Nelson has been a probowler his first seven seasons and a three time all pro guard. If a guard is the best offensive lineman in the draft, you take an elite guard over a very good tackle.

Everything I wished for has come true. Got rid of Mayo, hired Vrabel, hired McDaniels. Now my last proposal is to trade Maye to TN for the first pick and go with Milton. Trade the 1st and 4th pick for multiple picks. That one will never happen. But the Pats are fools to trade Milton until they know what they have with Maye.
