already happened in super. but they’re from the next universe over and more saiyans survived in that reality. there’s female super saiyans too, and it’s all canon. only thing is they aren’t like traditional saiyans they’re kind of just little brats. Akira has changed what a saiyan is and that’s why i’m not a fan of super, although i respect him for bringing back the franchise
