Before watching: the question I have is whether or not an unbaptised believer is allowed to be given communion.

@@michaal105 I don't think that religious rituals should matter; I think that if one wants to receive communion, with the understanding of what it means/resembles, then they ought to be invited to take communion, for God is working in their hearts. Let His sheep come to Him!!! They will eventually get baptized. Getting baptized is the public declaration of your belief & symbolizes the washing away of our sins. But once you accept in your heart, that Jesus is your Lord & Savior, that He died on the cross to save us from our sins, was crucified & rose on the 3rd day, You are saved bc of accepting Him into your heart!!! Communion is also our belief of the gospel & anyone partaking in the body & blood of Jesus Christ says that He is in them, & they are in Him 💕 so I see no wrong in accepting communion without baptism. Just as religious leaders accused & judged Jesus for doing good on the Sabbath day, there is no wrong being done here.. But do follow up to get baptized - it is Scripture. And keep going to a church 🥰 - there are churches that offer communion without judgement - as Christians, I think that's important: Anywhere is better than nowhere. After all, if anyone is without sin, cast the first stone..

Where did my comment go? I provided my comment, backed with 2 scriptures but the comment is no longer there. In short, I disagree. You are coming to Christ. I think ppl should welcome your progress. Don't feel discouraged - just find a Christian church that offers communion without judgement: they're out there.. And keep coming to church, God is with you if you're seeking Him

As a deep believer in Chris since a child (33 years) I am now 38. I was called to have communion with my church. many probably thought at the church since I was not a regular attender that I'd probably get sick, etc when that's not the case because I take God literally so sharing God's flesh and blood has nothing dome anything to me and I am very happy because sometimes I question myself alot like do I live God, am I truly doing his will? and have done so many evil things in my life but only to cry out to the Lord for forgiveness. Repenting being hurt from my sins the enemy would still probably beat inside my head that I am still that but God has taught me better and so, I am free from sins but as long as human never completely 200 percent but repentance, salvation, forgives, God's mercy, and begging to do his will are things on my mind I ask for and shall recieve. To help others in need and to save souls for Christ is my desire! Lord let it become burning passion and drive

Based on the pattern of the first Passover, when the Children of Israel left Egypt, children who were members of a household of faith were included. Imagine those little babies in Egypt on that night when the whole family partook of the lamb. Based on this I believe that children down to birth who are in households of faith should partake. We are told in Proverbs 22:6 to train up our children in the way they should go. "Here child, take this. It is for your salvation." Add to this the idea in the Torah and in the New Testament that children are to obey their parents as "the first commandment with promise." What does that mean? Small children cannot even conceive of God. They see their parents as God. The act of faith that the Lord is looking for from them is to trust in and obey their parents. I believe that based on these passages, if a little child looks to their parents in faith and their parents offer them the elements and say something like "Trust in this for your salvation" and the child does and partakes, God sees that as sufficient faith. Did not the children partake on that first Passover? Were they not "passed over" and saved? If I had a child that is what I would do. If at some point they reject it, then it's on them. But I as a believing parent I would train them up in the way they should go. The Hebrew word from which "train up" comes is the picture of a mother taking something from her mouth and putting it into the baby's mouth to train them to start nursing from her breast. "Here child, take this for your salvation" is an identical picture. If you disagree, please show me scriptures to support that. Thank you. There are a number of passages which say that when parents come to faith "their whole household" was saved. There are also a number of passages which say that whole households were judge for the sins of their parents, as in the case of Achan.

I understand your point but I think you’re missing one key part in this. That was the Old Testament. There were many things different at that time than the New Testament. Instead of the kids taking it, I think they can be trained in learning the importance of it and why we take it. Then when they do understand, give them the opportunity to take it if they want to. That way as they get older, it is more likely for them to take it and understand the importance even more because they weren’t forced as a young child.

I almost agree except that taking of the elements does not save anyone, so a child should not be instructed that it’s for his/her salvation, but to remember the only one that does save, Jesus. My critique would be to say “we eat and drink this to remember Christ who gives salvation to sinners like us that believe.”

@@johnreese6700 giving a child and including them in this as believers I wouldn’t say is “forcing” them. If the child refuses then don’t insist, but I don’t see any prevention for them. In context I believe that “unworthy manner” is talking about divisions, drunkenness, eating without considering others. Also, when it instructs to examine oneself I do believe that can be taken to make sure there is no unrepentant sin, but what follows is properly discerning the body which I take to mean believers or church. Remember the kingdom belongs to “such as these” Eventually if the child doesn’t already understand they absolutely will ask what it means providing a gospel opportunity!

My understanding is that to examine one self before Communion is to understand why one is participating and or to understand the meaning of communion which is a remembrance of the lord death for our sins the act of communion us to recognize that Jesus body was sacrificed for us to proclaim Jesus is lord that is my understanding of what Paul ment wen he said to examine one self before communion

I'm used to our children Communing (since infancy...after baptism mostly) and now in a church which requires a long period of catechesis 1st b4 any Communion. What is Dr. Brown's thought on closed Communion. Is that biblical? Too strict? Legalistic?

Dr Brown I'm Gary Lambrechts I;m staying in SA, Western-Cape in a rural town Moorreesburg. Here church leader ordain Evangelist, Apostles and Pastors left and right. Young believers are in the faith for 6 months and get ordained but they have no knowledge about there calling. Some move around in office Pastors and Evangelist become Apostle and I cant find any scripture for there behaviour and doings. Can you please set some light on the topic.

The answer is No. Because in heaven, separate tables will be prepared for members of each Christian denomination to dine. One for Catholics, one for Orthodox, one for Anglicans, one for Methodists, one for Baptists, one for Lutherans, one for Pentacostals, one for Presbyterians, one for Episcopalians etc etc

My baptist pastor said I shouldn't take communion. I was baptized and I believe, but I'm having trouble believing God would want me to bust up my preexisting family because we're not married. He doesn't wanna get legally married, it brings the govt into our relationship. Does God really want me to make my child bounce between 2 houses because of not following mans law?

In the spring of 2022 Charles was opening Parliament on behalf of his mother - Queen Elizabeth the Second. Charles was not wearing the crown then because he wasn't the King then. When you take communion you are showing what Jesus did for you. An unbeliever taking communion is symbolising something that has never happened.

What part of John 6:54 don’t you understand? When we do this in remembrance of Him, we are literally consuming His Body & Blood. Read the early church fathers for confirmation

I was extremely offended of being rejected Jesus. If anyone wants to come to Me, let him come to Me.. Anyone who desires to accept Jesus' body and blood, as a way to come closer to Him, it is still giving that person the belief in His crucifixion and resurrection of the gospel - why in the WORLD would anyone be denied or rejected Jesus for the sake of showing actions towards this belief? Any step is a step closer to Him!!! No one should be shunned away - Even when His disciples did that to others, Jesus said "Let them come" ...I am angry, hurt, insulted, offended & appalled.

I was denied yesterday. I’m baptized, confirmed and a former member of the church I was at but the Pastor needed proof I guess. Maybe I should’ve brought my papers. Even though the Pastor absolved me of my sins before the Communion sacrament started after he personally came to our pew to deny us, I never felt worse about being in a church after the service, more dirty, sinful and lost.

@@HollyBurnette-tc1xx 🤣 papers.. good one! Don't be bothered with that: I was bothered for weeks & found this Scripture: 1 Corinthians 8:10-13, that describes whether one should eat meat or not & that everyone has different opinions, from one to another. What I discovered from that verse, is not to judge others for how they serve God; for they do it for the glory of God. And we do things for the glory of God: THAT is what is important. That godly understanding/wisdom helped me a lot in dealing with my emotions from being offended. Also, two other things: 1) they are rituals, which come from religion: just remember to have faith & to love. In loving others, we must forgive. 2) emotions are stirred by the enemy: feeling offended can turn into anger & bitterness; be wise to ask God for repentance in feeling that way & ask Him to guide you. Remember to stay prayerful & keep strong in your relationship with Him. In my case, the church says the enemy is trying to get me off track, but the pressure they seem to keep up about my attendance there makes me wonder whether it's God-sent or not.. I have visited other churches, but none have compared with the Truth I receive from there. So I will stay until I'm certain I should leave.. I can certainly tell when the enemy is distracting me; it's very easily slid in & undetectable, but a distraction nonetheless. Stay focused 💝💯
