He is definitely a psychopath too. He had to take out an alternate version of himself once but needed information. He got it through "interrogation" by which I mean he slowly cut pieces off his alternate self and cooked and fed them to him. His alternate self could also turn off pain receptors, but not the psychological trauma, and resisted until he had no limbs and most of his lower body gone.

You're just playing victim to push lies and bullshit. Most of the gay characters being pushed out nowadays are just garbage in terms of character writing and are mostly used as half-assed mouthpieces instead. Don't believe me? Check out Sina Grace's run of Ice-Man or another comic he's been writing on called the Pride (yeah, real subtle). Or perhaps something more current, like our latest disastrous iteration of New Warriors and that YA abomination DC titled "I'd Give You the Ocean."

People take an issue when a character is retconned because "diversity" like what they did with Iceman. Or Retconning Wally West into being black. I absolutely love this character but he's just way too much of an edgelord. That's literally who he is, if you portrayed him outside of comics you'd have to be true to the character and that wouldn't go over too well with the populace. Dude stuffed a metal pole up some guys butt, because he was bigot then proceeded to tell a joke that totally wasn't funny but deserving. He also shoved another pole (do see a recurring theme here?) into a woman's mouth because he thought she sucked too many ding-dongs. Both were bad people but he's really a character that is really psychotic. Not Deadpool funny, but sorta like a military dude who cracks jokes when a dead body farts after it's been decapitated. I'd love to see it, but that would have to be a really mature show about supers.

His backstory and powers remind me a bit of a Continuity Comics character named Armor. He was a canadian teen abducted by aliens and experimented on and was declared a ten which was the highest potential for a fighter or something like that. After escaping the aliens with his super fast energy blasting brother, he became a vigilante. It was under the radar stuff from Neal Adams.

That's his DC character. In Wildstorm he was a soldier who joined a super secret program inside the UN team of superhumans Stormwatch. He and his husband Apollo were the only survivors and spent five years hiding from their creator, the weatherman (Stormwatch person in command). After he was killed the rest of the team found he had created his own superhumans. When the Stormwatch team was massacred by the xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, the two of them were recruited into The Authority.

I highly recommend to everybody The Authority comics,by Wildstorm where Midnighter and his husband,Apollo, where both main team members. The Authority had some really crazy storylines written by Warren Ellis,Mark Millar,Dan Abnett,Christos Gage ,just to name a few of the high profile writers who wrote for it,incl. a storyline where The Authority overthrew the US government and took over the USA. (among other things,they legalised all recreational drugs and what not.) It´s a shame that after DC bought Wildstorm,they have pretty much neglected all these cool Wildstorm characters. And yes,he´s gay and is married to Apollo,who is basically a Superman analogue,but both of them are gay superheroes done right. Their sexuality isn´t their major character trait,it´s just one part of what they´re.Both a really well written and cool characters and not some walking stereotypes. *cough* The CW´s Batwahmen, *cough*

Alisia Volk Lol, midnighter would rip deadpool apart. He has a battle computer that ensures that he wins any winnable fight, superhuman stats (he can hurt Jack Hawksmoor and Apollo who have nuke tanking feats), has a burst of super speed ( he can tag speedsters) and is more durable. Meanwhile, Deadpool has competitive fights with taskmaster, who Midnighter would kill quite easily. The only thing deadpool has over midnighter is his healing factor, which will give the latter some problems. I also take issue with the unpredictability of the opponent as a weakness to midnighter tbh (the joker fight was highly questionable; the battle computer calculates a billion scenarios in a second and there is only a limited number of actions a normal human can take). The only surefire way to beat him is via telepathy (i.e. disrupting the link between his mind and the battle computer) or in the case of DC’s version of midnighter, someone with better precog (e.g. afterthought and his ability to see 5s into the future). A better fight would be midnighter vs gorgon, wolverine, or fantomex. It would also be interesting to see him fight probability manipulators like Domino. Him vs Mantis or Karnak would also be interesting.

Like the dude can go one on one with Zealot, Deathstroke, and entire armies all by himself...but if one of those fighters is a little bonkers he can't predict their moves? 🤣I guess that's sorta a weakness... but yeah I still really like him even if he's totally broken. *"My power is to beat everybody!"* Ok Ok... I'm kidding a little bit but it's nice to see this character get some shine to his name.
