Who Is Developing the next Spyro?!

Game development takes longer than most people realize. Toys for Bob could have started pre-production on a new Spyro game as they wrapped up the Reigated Trilogy.

True not to mention working on Crash 4 at the same time as Reignited Trilogy which is why Reignited Trilogy was as off as it was cause they had a narrow timeframe to release it in and yeah it needed more time in my opinion and heck certain changes rubbed me off the wrong way like pointless censorship for the sake of doing so to absolute dumpster fire of alterations that betray the original like the Bone Dance, which is likeable in the "I don't know what this is, but i love it" kinda deal which got replaced by MLG Fortnite crap, which i have found no one liking, not to mention Spyro already has a divided fan base with Skylanders and the OG games, I don't think they need more trouble...

I'm 99% sure toys for Bob already did start development, they hinted at a new project right around the time of crash 4's release and there are spyro easter eggs all over crash 4 so its pretty obvious

I am not much of a Crash fan but I totally agree, I think they did very good with the Reignited Trilogy. But I personally think Toys For Bob are very likely going to do a Spyro 4.

the reason i feel its going to be Toys for Bob is because of the insane level of personal affection they poured into that game. Legit theres so, so so much charm and design in that remake that didnt need to be there, most specifically the dragons in the first game but theres a lot more than that. If a group shows theyre willing to go that extra mile purely because they adore the characters, the hell would you not give them another run for? Activision cant be blind enough to not notice the heart and soul Toys put down considering how much praise the fanbase is giving them for that very thing.

WayForward Technologies (the development team behind DuckTales: Remastered) should literally be taking over Spyro the Dragon 4 since Activision recruited Matt Bozon during the development of Barbie and the Three Musketeers (Nintendo Wii) Once Toys for Bob goes bankrupt, WayForward Technologies should literally continue the development of Spyro the Dragon 4 (Activision) just like Matt Bozon did with the previous game way back in 2004

Whoever makes it, I think the sales of Crash 4 will have a large part in deciding the scope of Spyro 4. I remember hearing at first that Crash 4 was selling way slower than the two remake trilogies and the CTR remake, but I don't know if it's considered financially successful yet. If not, they'll probably restructure Spyro 4 accordingly.

So my only question is this: does Tony Hawk fit into this equation? I could honestly see Beenox taking over the engine and assets from Vicarious Vissions and doing Tony Hawk 3 and 4 remastered. Seeing as how they got the movement and flow of CTR perfectly, I think they'd be an amazing choice for the next Tony Hawk. If that's the case, I'd imagine Spyro 4 is being done by Toys for Bob, with a future CTR coming later.

I just want more Spyro games. There is a lack of good dragon games out on the market, and I'd argue the Spyro series is the best one. I'd also like to see more abillities for the dragon. Prehaps a system of upgradable abillities and skills that you can set up for each level. Oh, and skins for Spyro. Those CTR skins, as well as the mods people have made for Reignited really shows how good Spyro can look with different outfits and looks. I just love how fun the Spyro Trilogy was, and I hope they'll keep making more

It won't be, Spyro is designed to be easier. Crash is all about precise jumps and timing whereas Spyro is more about exploring and solving puzzles

If we get another CTR, I really hope they pack it with Spyro Themed tracks. I would die for tracks themed around Dark Passage, Skelos Badlands, Fireworks Factory, and more! And maybe some original music to accompany these tracks rather than simply adding a drumkit to the speedway stages, not that it doesn't sound good. If they absolutely have to use existing music, a decent remix would be lovely, especially if it came from lesser known games, just as a nod. I was thinking for Skelos Badlands, they could remix the music that plays in Lava Prairie and Stone Age Speedway from Spyro Season of Ice.

I think Activision Shanghai is the crew of tech wizards making the magic happen behind the scenes of these games while toys for bob are the creative side. Toys for bob has many teams, at one point they had Crash 4, NST and Reignited in the works, I assume after Reignited came out a smaller team went onto the Switch port of the game and a core group went into production on Spyro 4, Beenox in theory started working on Crash 4 after CTR content was completed as they said they have to move to the next project when questioned about more content. The use of Unreal is inevitable that will reduce time to an extent if it releases on PS4 and XBOX this year then yes this proves if its next generation than that is another story.

I'd like to point out that it is possible Activision had their Shanghai branch work on Crash 4 due to Chinese regulations, which prohibit foreign entities from selling games in their market directly. If a Chinese company worked on it, though (like, say, Activision Shanghai), then they can probably sell it no problem. The same thing has been happening in the movie industry, where more and more Chinese companies are getting involved so the big studios can take advantage of the massive Chinese market. Just speculation, but it makes sense to me.

@@tylermatthew349 I don’t think they would’ve had time to remodel or make the adventure mode with all of it’s work, plus even it did got made, who is to say that other people won’t want the Crash Tag Team Racing adventure mode, that is a lot of work I mean sure yes the Nitro Kart Bosses are there and all of their karts, as well as all of their homeworld tracks, CTR tokens, but the amount of time and effort to make more Grand Prix and an adventure mode feature, I think that people would have to pay for it, because of how much there is in that game, and on top of that, like Crash Bandicoot 4 was supposedly made to be May or June, but the E3 Event was further delayed, Crash Bandicoot 4 was just around the corner was about to be in development fully, so it was only a matter of time before CTR ended, there was absolutely no way that they can both produce more content for CTR and work on the new Crash Bandicoot 4! So they had to eventually stop.

Hey cge unrelated to the video but if you could do video on Pinstripe let me explain over the years we've seen many villians in the Crash Bandicoot series everyone of the villians had there chance from n brio n gin n tropy tiny Dingodile even nina Cortex however there one who never really his shot and that's pinstripe other then the boss fight In the first game and boss in CTR that it he never got a full go I feel he is underutilized and his character could very interesting how awesome would it be if his gang took over wumpa island and crash and friends must battle varies members of pinstripe gang to take back wumpa island now I've have heard some of said that pinstripe hes too voilite to be 5he main baddie his use of guns and mafia aspect I love your videos and I hope you can do a video on the rat king

TFB’s art style has become sort of a trademark for Crash and Spyro. I can’t imagine any other devs doing their future games.

You know why don't Vicarious Visions just be a Subsidiary of Activision Blizzard so they can develop and make games for Activision and Blizzard
