I think Diesel used a loop pedal briefly in the part where you stopped and asked how did he do that. Diesel should have been promoted more outside of Australia just on his guitar playing ability let alone his singing. A top shelf musician.

Diesel is an Aussie music legend. Singing, songwriting, guitar - he can do it all. I think that 'wukka wukka' sound is made by a wah-wah pedal on a guitar. Very common in the 70s & revived in the 90s.

Jimmy and Diesel were born overseas but migrated to Australia when they were children. They began their music careers in Australia but were influenced a lot by soul and R&B from America. They are both legends of Australian music. Jimmy is a great fan of Tina Turner.

You would've come across Jimmy Barnes when you reacted to Cold Chisel. Jimmy and Diesel perform with another great Australian artist, John Farnham singing When Something is Wrong With My Baby; this is a cover of a Sam and Dave song, watch the their performance from the 1991 ARIA(Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards .

As you have no doubt worked out at this point, Jimmy Barnes was one of the singers in Cold Chisel (he was the singer without the guitar). Jimmy has also had a long stellar solo career, which is still ongoing. (He has the most number one records in Australia EVER.) Jimmy's duets with other singers though are amazing. Singing with Ian Moss in Chisel trained him up well. 😊

Diesel played all instruments bar the strings and horns on this song from his first solo album. Most of the harmonies are him too. The two guitarists in the video during the solo is him too.

Johnny Diesel (aka Mark Lizzotte) is an Aussie legend and as a side note is related to Cold Chisel Lead singer Jimmy Barnes through marriage and they often perform together , which is amazing :) I saw Johnny and his band (Johnny Diesel and The Injectors) live many years ago and they were awesome. I will message you @Cheezy with a couple of other songs of his to check out :)

It was a great show, but didn't go for long. Jimmy hosted this back in 2009 2010 ish , he'd have a chat and a couple of songs . The channel was just one of those just running music videos constantly, rarely any actual programs, the odd album documentary.
