I would like to add a detail at 6:50. The week prior to the race, a motorsport Argentinian legend called Juan María Traverso had passed away. He was known for being crazy and sometimes reckless while driving. In honour to him, Franco put the name Traverso on his car (you can see it near the headrest). So we like to say that Traverso possesed him in that moment to make the move. He continued with the name on the car until he was promoted to F1. I'm still unsure if he kept the detail in his new car or his helmet.

A key factor that we are forgetting here are the social media campaigns after his season finale in F3 last year, since although p4 was not a bad position, the money to get to F2 was not enough for Franco, as he confessed. Given that, in Argentina there was a massive campaign on networks with the hashtag "#francolapintoaf2" and in that period, people managed to attract the attention of famous companies, famous local streamers, media and even Bizarrap, the Argentine producer who worked with artists like Shakira and who would be key to providing Franquito with contacts to be his sponsors, in fact it is thanks to him that Colapinto received the necessary capital to raise Williams, also, as a color fact, during the days when it was not known who would occupy Sargeant's position at Williams, "#francolapintoaf1" was launched, which became top 2 in global Twitter trends. As has already been made clear, this was not just Franco fulfilling his dream, but it was an entire country pushing to make his dream come true, as well as their own dreams.

I respect the backfield drivers for even making it to this point, even if it's clear they can't compete on the same level. While it was pretty obvious Logan Sargeant simply was not good enough for F1, the very fact he got to that seat in the first place is truly impressive, given there's only 20 in the world. Admittedly, I didn't know anything about Colapinto until after he was being elevated, and videos like this helping me understand his journey for his opportunity is very much appreciated. Among all the talk of Bearman and Antonelli who themselves are amazing young drivers being given a chance in F1, it's fun to learn about other immensely talented young men who aren't talked about as often. He even did decently in the last race, I believe! Respectable finish just outside the points, making Williams seem like a real midfield competitor. Sainz is my favorite driver, so while unfortunate, I'm excited to watch Williams next year, but I hope Colapinto makes the most of this opportunity and perhaps finds himself as the reserve driver and/or a seat elsewhere on the grid in the next couple of years!

I’m in American though I am very sad for Logan, it just wasn’t working. You can’t cost a team $3.8 million in repairs and think you’re going to keep your seat the whole year. I feel he’ll find another seat probably in Indy or something else. He is a good driver he’s just not at the level that needs to be on the grade. A few years ago, someone of his level could do pretty good and make points but the level of the drivers in the field is probably the highest skill level we’ve ever seen when it comes to the whole grid. 40% of the drivers currently if they had the right car the right set up in all the numbers lined up they could win the race. I just never for the long-haul thought Logan could do that. It’s unfortunate because I want a strong American in the sport.

Igual los argentinos somos así Nunca vimos un partido d rugby pero queremos q la selección gane el mundial sin siquiera saber si hemos clasificado mas d una vez, pensando q todo deporte es igual al fútbol donde somos candidatos siempre

Well, I’d like to see him do good, more competitive drivers is always better, but that save in FP1 was fine, I’d calm that a standard skill F1 drivers should be able to easily do. As for “the next Fangio”, we will see over the next few races

He just needs to do better than Sargeant - that’s all he really needs to do! 😂 And tbf, he did that yesterday, first race and immediately matched Sargeant on his best day - 3 places behind Alex. Simply solid

I mean, that's great for Colapinto and all, but that exact same video could have been done to any mid-fielder in F2. Some success in very junior classes, then you have a bunch of misfortunes, but than 1 or 2 very good races or moves. Ta-da! Martins, Hauger, Aron and even Hadjar could fit the same bill.

And as a result, Goethe is now an F2 driver, very excited to see what he can do ^^
