Dude, you have single-handedly ignited my passion to read these books. The pacing and level of detail in these videos was perfect to keep me thoroughly engaged and wanting more. Thank you so much for the care and effort you've put into explaining this lore; I really appreciate the concise and beautiful summary so I can go into the books with a clear picture and better understanding of all the history and conflicts. Amazing work, man.

The books made my enjoyment of the games soooo much deeper. I started the Witcher 3 and didn’t know who anyone was. After reading the short stories I fell in love and played well over 200 hours. The books are what makes the whole world work!

Nothing warms my heart more than when I turn down a bounty reward cause a couple needs the money to feed their child, and I'm met with a resounding "bless ye" and talk of how "i thought all witchers are heartless, but you've been kind to us". Really takes away any regret I had for my decision.

Just binged watched the whole Witcher lore series. As a fan of both Novels and the games, there were so many events splashed across the timeline that it was very tough to comprehend. This series just compiled all of them together and helped understanding the lore better. Loved the series and keep up the good work!
@Kiryu_chan02 жыл бұрын
It's quite good to see how splendidly CDPR made the games! They respected every events from novel and sticked to the lore (which is quite rare nowadays how may adaptations just disrespect their source material and create some shite!). Thanks to CDPR to continue Geralt's journey to a better end and giving us some more quality content along with ofcourse the author Andrzej Sapkowski.

I really like the way you mentioned Geralt's companions. Like, nilfgardian deserter, a higher vampire etc. When you tell the name of that nilfgardian deserter for example then non book reader or non gamer would know who that is and would've been spoiled for show the already. But you mentioned how Geralt would meet his fate so.. I dunno. A big reveal I guess? 😂
@TheFos882 жыл бұрын
Kinda big reveal but at the same time, if one not familiar with the books picked up the games and started from the first game, that spoiler is revealed there too from the very start as he was said to be dead after the events in the novels but just came back with long lasting amnesia.

The story of the Witchers and of course Geralt evokes such a somber feeling in me. Boys abandoned by the world and then fashioned by cruelty into men. All this so that they can deliver goodness to their world only for it to respond to their deeds with mistrust, hate and betrayal. Witchers are humans that lost their humanity for the sake of other humans who see them as less than them. Regardless the witchers remain on the path, safeguarding humanity, if not out of morality then out of duty. It's so sad yet so romantic, a masterclass example of writing hero in such a dark world.

There are a few things that seemed confused by the show.or left out. But this is already a million times better than the show can ever be after the odd changes and things that are completely left out. Maybe I'll add to this with the things that were left out. But overall this is a pretty good quick breakdown

Geralt trying to give himself such a douchy name such as "Geralt Roger Eric Du hoc Bellegarde" was hilarious. I can totally picture people being like "what a dick. kkchhhh", knife right in the back. 😆. Vesimir saved him from a life of douchbaggery.

A man, with no emotion who staind his hands in both human and monster blood yet determined to see his justice done even when down to the wire. Geralt is definitely an inspiration to be held in fame. For his friends or lovers (both current and former) no price needs to be paid, saving someone like Dandelion or Ciri will always be on the house because he trusts them.

Since the hippi movement the Anti-Hero became most popular in modern coltoure. It started shortly after WW2 with movies like American Graffiti and James Dean, but Elvis and the Beach Boys were the attention getters. Today, even a soft pop icon like Justin Bieber is tattooed and cultivates a bad boy part in his image. From Jon Rambo to Kyle Reece or Conner McLeod, the Punisher or the ever darker getting Batman, the Witcher is in my opinion part of an outcry of the commons for another kind of knight and lord in this world taking charge like Ghandi or Charles Chaplin or Nelson Mandela. Closer to Yassir Arafat riscking, as much as Yitzak Rabbin for peace and love and harmony. #provos #gangwars
