You just don't understand how their powers work. Elena's fight with Katherine is a great example of how their power levels work. Same as Caroline VS Damon. An original is stronger than a normal vampire but they still weigh as much as a normal human so Damon can pick up Kol, Elena can throw Katherine. Now if an original was to resist, like dig in their heels then a normal vampire wouldn't be about to push them or pick them up. So Damon can push Kol against a wall because Kol didn't resist the push and Damon could hit him because Kol wasn't blocking the punches or given time to dodge them.

that's not why she's doing it though she's doing it so damon doesn't kill her only family left or jeremy kills the man she loves it's not like there is a lot of options AND the bonus is the cure all the main characters backed her up on this too which means they are just as culpable any of them could have easily stopped the plan not to mention characters on this show have sacrificed so many people for the few yet they get no hate also, vampires are different than humans vampires have already cheated death and most have lived for a VERY long time (even stefan tells elena in season 2 him sacrificing himself is different from her sacrificing herself because he's already lived) i'm not saying i fully support it and it's a wonderful decision but there aren't a lot of options and elena haters just find any excuse to hate on her when their faves would do the same just say you don't like her and move on

Just because some choose to drink from animals or blood bags doesn't mean that they are innocent because they still have it in them to kill humans. Elena overall attitude this season is when fans really started to hate her. Their reasoning for wanting to kill Kol is hypocritical to say the least. I would like to explain that i am not saying that everything is Elena's fault and that Stefan is a saint. Other thing that i think its unrealistic is that she suddenly stops loving Stefan. I know that she always had fellings for Damon, but in a episode she is maddly in love with Stefan and Damon and in the other she just loves Damon. I dont know, maybe its just in my head, but to me its weird that in season 3 she would anything for Stefan and in season 4 it just stops, i think that they wanted to Delena happen already so they were just lazzy to write good stuff.
