The beef with all the originals family started when they ploted with Esther to kill all of them. They killed finn(after he find Sage); betrayed Rebekah and because they didn't listen Kol, Bonnie suffered more in season 5.

In the 1490s her actions caused the whole storyline with the Originals, she turned the Salvatores,... She is the best villain and the best character of all time and of any tv show. I also don’t understand how everyone hated her and loved Elena. At least Katherine was honest to Damon and told him, it was always gonna be Stefan. Elena was just jumping between them and couldn’t even decide for a very long time. Katherine lost her entire family and she had no one. She was all alone so she learned to look out for herself. She dealt with her problems and never turned off her humanity. Elena had everyone. Of course she lost many people but she still had Jeremy, Stefan, Damon, Caroline and Bonnie who really cared about her and other people (like Klaus f.e.) who at least needed her to stay alive. She cried so much and also tried to make everything about herself. She is in the center of attention all the time, although she doesn’t do anything herself. Everyone does everything for her. Literally half the people of the show would die for her. But why? She doesn’t do anything. And she couldn’t deal with her problems. She turned off her humanity. Katherine never did that although she dealt with things that are so much worse and was all alone. Katherine is THE QUEEN and although she wasn’t the main character of tvd (which is sooooooo sad, we need a Katherine Spin-off of the time between 1492 (?) and 1864 and 1864 and 2009) she carried the whole plot of the story, She is sooo iconic and not such an annoying crybaby like Elena. PS: Of course this is just my opinion, it doesn’t have to be yours. But that’s just the right opinion idc. I can’t understand anybody who doesn’t like the queen herself. 👑🖤✨

It's the start of absolutely unbelievable, trash writing. Introducing hyped up antagonists just to nerf them in a few episodes, and Elena becoming absolutely despicably selfish once she became a vamp. She did make some questionable decisions as a human but there were still some good characteristics in her then, yet when she turned she became all about Stefan/Damon. And she actually had an excuse as a human that things around her were out of control and that she can't protect herself. It's so annoying how they discarded the most interesting characters so fast like Kol, they could've delved so much more into his character (and into the other Mikaelsons tbf) but all they cared about is Klaus. And then in the Originals they barely gave time for the Mikaelsons that didn't get to shine in TVD either, so that was useless as well. Really biased writers, they had no business running a show, especially with how they treated their only black lead Bonnie.

Damon and Stefan don't care sure but that choice literally goes against Elena's established character so hard I can't believe she'd actually do it. She's literally responsible for the deaths of thousands of vampire and has personally commited mass genocide. Then in later seasons tries to act like she's such a pure innocent person that wants to help people again. I'm saying from a writing perspective they could have done something else to make the mark grow. As opposed to wiping out thousands of Vampires with literally no consequences. *It also seems like a leap in logic that it would work at all because Jeremy only killed Kol and as a result of Kol's death the other vampires died but whatever.*

What Klaus said to Damon about him not being able to fight the compulsion is bullcrap. Because firstly Damon did fight more than once, he told Jeremy to shoot him in the heart both times he caught up with him and even after he left Elena an heard the blood dropping, he could of killed Jeremy before Stefan arrived but he didnt he stopped again to be killed. Also its completely different than Stefans situation because Stefan was compelled to feed on Elena not Jeremy, if Damon had been compelled to kill Elena, the the situation would be the same..... Also you're so right, they've all killed and been just as bad as Klaus at times too, Klaus never did anything bad for no reason, including breaking the curse, killing Jenna, Carol. Jenna was a punishment for attempting to stop the ritual, Katherine's the one who gave him Jenna, and Carol died because Tyler's a stupid b*tch who tried to take Klaus down and turned all of Klaus's hybrids against him. They're lucky Klaus loves Caroline otherwise he would of done so much more after Kol and being trapped. Yep NEVER talk shit to Klaus.

Damon telling Jeremy to kill him wasn't proof he was fighting the compulsion. He could say whatever he wants. He was only compelled to kill Jeremy then compelled to forget Kol telling him to do so.

@@theboss10808 Also, about TO, the rules behind the magic system were most inconsistent out of all three shows (including Legacies). Like, they did so much dark magic too, but Freya barely paid any prices for it compared to Bonnie. This could be a difference for Ancestral magic, but they never state that in TO. In fact, Freya switching to using ancestral magic was never even made a point in the show. She just switches and no one says a thing about it. Hope breaking boundary spells like in S4 was so Mary Sue. I also agree about Hayley, she was also a bit of a Mary Sue at times and her bad parenting even annoyed my mom (We've watched TVD, TO and Legacies together) . I still remember in S3, after the Crescent Curse was lifted and Hayley was human again, she pretty much sparred with Jackson the same day because she had to get used to being human again or something, and my mom said, "You've been complaining about wanting your baby, but you bail on her the very day you get her back." (she hates Elena and Hayley so much XD). I'm actually really happy with Legacies, because Hope doesn't acts like the Mary Sue baby she was on TO. She and Hayley annoyed the F*** out of me back then, but now I actually like Hope and can see she's learnt from the Mikaelsons killing everyone left and right contrubuting to her family's downfall.

Kol was the smartest person in this show, he warned them about siles, but they didn't listen, and they killed him for not being stupid like them, elena is a very selfish character imo, honestly the original family are the only interesting characters, klaus is my absolute favorite, the originals is so much better than the vampire diaries and the characters are richer, I definitely recommend it, your reactions are the best.

I literally hated them killing Kol because I liked him and the vampires in his bloodline very well could have been good vampires but no one really cared or even thought about that. And they literally killed them all just so Elena could have the cure because she didn't want to be a vampire. But sUrE Elena is such a loving, compassionate, and selfless character. And it is even more dumb because she doesn't even get the cure so all those vampires really died for nothing.
