I remember my cousin gave me a purple figure when I was like 3 or 4. He told me it was a cool monster and not much more. 10 years later I would end up renting random DBZ video tapes and what a shock to see that creature come to live inside the movie. I was like "Dang this toy was not just a random junk , it's a freaking DragonBall Z demon !!" I shed a tear out of nostalgia, ever since Janemba is my forever main in the video games.

I can relate to what you said man. When I was little I got a a Janemba toy not knowing what he was at all. I just thought it was a cool looking monster toy. Then years down the road I was like well damn this is from dbz lol so we share the same story almost

It's confusing to me when i hear he was from a movie directly connected to the z univers and yet he's not cannon. Why are all these officially developed characters not cannon it makes no sense? Did toriama say so or was this a fan thing because i keep reading not cannon a lot and i think its kinda strange being professionally developed.

They don’t want any dbz movies besides super to be canon because back in the days they didnt carefully pay attention to the timeline that’s why they made a new broly because the old one took place during cell saga because the creators of that broly movie was in love with the design of future trunks wouldn’t make sense for them to fight someone else while cell is about to destroy earth
