Cavs are all in on their new player development and internal growth grindset. I dont see how anyone could be upset at them taking a a chance on a guy like this

They should’ve signed Gianni’s and never traded Wiggins for love n just waited a year n signed love. Shouldn’t have included markanen in the trade or Mitchell.

And he's a 6'9 lefty with a 7'3 ws , 9'2 sr , that has a pull up game , whats not to like?

He could play the 3/SF position 😂

I like this for similar reasons you do, and had mentioned previously, as it seems like a bit of a departure from the norm of us going after vets with no room to grow like Lopez, Thompson, etc. so I think it’s cool that we went a different direction going for an upside player

His shot has improved every season and he's still young (just turning 22). Go find some of his NBA dunks and blocks, too - the athleticism is legit. In that exhibition game for South Sudan v. US, he hit the 3 with 20 seconds left to put them up by 1. If the Cavs develop him right, this could be a steal in the long run.

Thor has all the potentials to grow should Mavs give him more minutes and let him be himself he has much to contribute like you said he has a little of everything, he is a 21 year old lefty 40% 3pt shooter with enough confidence… defensively he’s amazing….. Cavs can do anything with TJ Thor and he would deliver.

The little bit of everything take is not going to age well, once they give this guy some reps. He is capable of taking over a game. Just watch the highlights when he dropped 28 on the Timberwolves. If the Cavs are smart enough, to let him be himself, like Utah was with Markannen who knows what he can do. Thor is a massive sleeper that nobody should be able to ignore soon enough. Don't forget Charlotte has been tanking for awhile now and his ability was shunted by it.

Cav's were one for nine 3's opening the game tonight and still won. Thirty seven percent would have been a blessing. Put thirty pounds on him and you'll have something....a beast. I'll wait if he can get half way there.

I liked his game in college and definitely think it was a low key move that just might pay off with some hard work on his part

@zatomb25743 ай бұрын
Doesn't seem to help the current roster much, but IMO his attraction is that he's only 21/22 years old but has played against top talent, although the results weren't spectacular. Try to develop him and cut the cord if it doesn't work out. Cavs are not very athletic so they need to look for guys like JT Thor. I was thinking Yabusele would be better for the Cavs but he's much older too.

Dam Sixers could have digned him to a 2way spot dam.....sixers would have had to just release 1 player from there 2way spot dam

Maybe he can cut into obriccos time or the vanilla D Wade or bad dad bod niangs time that would be an improvement just by getting their minutes reduced

Off topic but can we PLEASE get rid of Niang, idc what we get for him. I’d rather give his minutes to Bates/Tyson
