I kind of feel like Cleveland would benefit from a trade similar to the Haliburton Sabonis trade. Find a team like the 21-22 Pacers who would give up a nice piece for Garland. Garland would be great on a lot of teams it's just not a great fit for him in the backcourt with Mitchell. It's similar situation to what Sacramento had with Haliburton and Fox.

The nature of fandom changes when every star who signs a contract does so with the near-explicit intent of immediately leveraging more from the team or they leave. It doesn't make fans inclined to give any grace towards their team's shortcomings. And the cycle grinds even more. I know they are professionals, but how attached can fans be if every star is nothing but a mercenary? It is really a cynical era in pro sports. You might say it has always been so, just the power was completely with ownership, but from a fan's perspective it simply means that now both sides are unlikeable.

He just puts up stats like one because he is on a bad team. In reality, he is the 3rd best player on a contender. Garland will NEVER quit on the team. I think Koby Altman’s comments in the Bickerstaff firing press conference were telling - they like this roster as it is. People forget that this still a very young, developing team that has taken HUGE strides in a short time. I think they defy expectations and roll with what they have - including Mitchell and Garland starting at the 4 and 5. Chemistry cannot be understated in the NBA. We’ve seen it time and again where stars need ample playing time together to really mesh offensively - especially when you’re talking about young guys. I also think Garland really works on his game and body in the off-season and comes into camp a vastly improved player. I think they buck the trend of swapping existing talent for “more complimentary pieces” and enter camp with the core intact. AND I think that decision will pay dividends in June 2025.

Everyone with strong opinions about the Cavs in both directions are spewing nonsense. The story of this team is uncertainty, nuance and maybes. "Donovan wont resign!" He resigned but on a short term deal. "Garland is a bad fit and wants out!" Darius had a really good year before this season and started the year with a major injury and losing 12 pounds he never got back. Can't trust the he wants out rumors. No reputable source on those and could just be smoke. "Cavs are gonna make no moves the GM said so!" And yet lots of rumors of interest in players. Could be posturing to keep the price on their players high who knows. "Cavs are fine! It was just injuries run it back" The criticisms have some merit. Change is needed. Maybe just the coach but maybe more. Anything could happen. Be patient guys.

Allen let his team down during the playoffs last season and they seem to look better with him not on the court so I don't know why they would hold on to him. Then again you wonder why he wasn't already traded if he was going to be traded because they could do that trade without knowing what was going to happen with Donovan Mitchell. His possible deal really only affected their back court situation. I think they should try to get off of Allen while he's very desirable and before his stock might drop. The way that team is right now they're not going to finish above 4th in the east. Even fourth might be difficult because of Orlando and Indiana.😊

Cavs saw the haul NETS got for Bridges. They gonna trade Mitchell next year. If he was cool with Bickerstaff, trade Mitchell to the Pistons for Ivey, Thompson, & 3 1st round picks. Hell, do it at trade deadline so can get their 2025 1st round pick.

We literally got rid of Bickerstaff because him and Mitchell had a sour relationship. Why are people in this comment section making shit up?

Lmaooooo they gave him a Lebron style contract, he got that franchise by the balls atleast Bron got them to the finals from nuking all their chemistry and assets. Cavs down bad. 😭😭😭😭
@ColdHoops3 ай бұрын
They're a weak market franchise with an established star and 3 other potential stars. Leave them alone😭😅😅 Many teams would kill to be in their position. Jokes aside, I hope they figure out their front and backcourt issues. Hopefully Mobley's healthy next season
